"Oh...and is there any word of the wine that we are looking for?", he asked as he stopped in his tracks.

"About that...the Queen Mary The Third did have a child, that the late Mr. Griffin was looking for...so, therefore, she did have a bloodline, if we could track the bloodline down, we can find the wine. This blood-or wine...is well-known to quench all vampires' thirst for life. She was blessed with a gift, enchanting blood. Therefore, she always carried a unique scent that made her smell lovely and enticing, only a few could pick up this scent. In the past, only your father could pick up that scent and...of course her husband.", he explained as he used his index finger to push his glasses up.

"Alright then, that wraps up everything for tonight. Make sure you take good care of the girl and sure she does not make any efforts to disturb me", he stated as he started walking again.

"I highly doubt she will, but okay...Where are you going, Mr. Griffin?", Damion questioned as he turned his body around to face him.

"Trust me, you have no idea how she is. I'm going to the study room, don't disturb me and cancel all my appointments for the weekend, I want to get to know Zoey more.", he said as he shut the door silently.

A Few Days Later

"Mr. Griffin... She still has not come out of the room as yet. Like always...she said she doesn't want to eat.", Damien notified Alex with his arms folded behind his back and his military posture.

"There's more, isn't there? What else did she say?", Alex asked as his legs were crossed and reading the magazine article which had his face plastered on the front page.

"She said that she does not want to eat from a snob like you.", Damien added as he tried to remain calm and hold his laugh back.

No one saw him that way, this was Alexander's first, nor did they see him as a snob. He was always a prim and proper man who had women throwing themselves at his feet and used every trick in the book to try and get to him. But she somehow resisted him, this made him angry.

"Leave her, let her starve to death if she wants.", Alexander said waving his one hand for Damien to leave." Wait...Damien, do you think I'm losing my charm by any chance?", Alexander asked like a little insecure boy as he titled his head on one side and left the magazine down.

"No sir. I think the more age, the more charms you grow. Well...if you ask me...I think she's just really frustrated with you because you keep rough handling her every time she comes out of her only hiding place.", Damien added with a serious and plastered face which tried to hold a laugh behind.

"And what if she keeps rolling her eyes at me like she's having a seizure?", Alexander asked.

"That still does not give you the right to rough handle a woman, sir. And with all due respect- it gives her every right to fight back.", Damien added with a plastered look on his face.

"And how do I rough handle her?", Alexander asked as he clenched his jaw tight showing that he was ticked off.

"Shall I remind you of the things to tend to do to her, sir?", Damien offered in an unfazed state.

"Enlighten me.", Alex demanded as he leaned back on his comfortable brown, leather sofa.

"Well... for starters, the first night she came in the house, you held her wrists tight and pinned her against the wall because she threw a little tantrum"

"She disrespected me in my own house and threw her shoes at me.", Alexander stated losing his temper.

"What about the other day she came to eat and you grabbed her and pulled her down to eat with you just because she wanted to eat in her room and you just wanted the company of her presence around you?", Damien questioned Alexander.

"Well...that was obviously because she is goddamn clumsy and she was going to mess the room!", Alexander shouted.

"You do know you still have a maid, right? Even she can see past your excuses!", Damien exclaimed as he pointed towards the maid catching her red-handed.

Just then Alexander and Damien saw a made choke on her tea in the kitchen, and she too tried to hold her laugh back along with Damien. They both gave each other looks to stop but they couldn't, so Damien just coughed and walked out of the room excusing himself.

"What's so funny?", Alexander asked the maid coldly, giving her a deadly glare.

"My apologies sir, nothing is funny! Nothing at all.", she apologized and bowed as she took her to leave too.

"What the hell...even my maid and assistant aren't taking me seriously...It's this damn girl's fault!", Alex muttered in frustration as he pinched the bridge of his nose.

He decided. This was it. He was not going to tolerate this girl being disobedient to him, he made up his mind, just like the other past couple of days. He stormed upstairs to her room and started banging on the door. He never seems to lose his temperament for so long, why now? He asked himself over and over again.

"ZOEY!OPEN THIS DOOR RIGHT NOW!", he yelled as he banged on her door.

"What the hell do you want? I'm staying here! What more do you want from me, you pig?!", Zoey shouted at the top of her lungs from the other side of the door.

"Sir...You see...There's a certain way to talk to a lady.", the maid said as she interrupted their argument.

Alexander took in a deep sigh as he hit his head softly on the door and added gently, "Please come out and eat."

"No.", on the other end of the door.

"You damn brat!", he yelled and stormed off and the maid went along to calm him down.

Just then he heard a loud thud in Zoey's room and he stopped dead in his tracks.
