Winter nights take forever to go away, We had no plans to go out, But tonight is spontaneous, Tonight is dazzling with hints of grey.
Sitting in the car in silence, Looking out at the starry streetlights, Reluctant to think about where we're going, Her book in my hand, I just admire the outside world.

So many someones were already there, Watching the last game, People separated into two sides, I don't remember the name, I am trying to control my emotional tides.
I seat myself on one of the chairs, Sad, unwanted thoughts climb their way up so close, They climb up the stairs, Straight into my mind where it hurts the most.
Flags are given around, Argentina, one glance, chaotic arena, no fan France, The players play on the screen, I remember how you use to play, How you used to be excited too, You would be so happy in this crowded room.
My eyes are filled like wells, But I still give off my best face, This night makes me insecure, And I don't know why, This night reminds me of you, How you were bright as the moon shining in the sky.
