I was hoping for you to remember me for a lifetime,
I am dreaming about the days when we can cross every line,
Hiding the secrets in a little past life crime,
Wishing you'd know how my bones have been stored in a shrine. You wore black velvet,
And blacker than velvet was the night,
Wearing your helmet,
You were riding a horse under no light.Petrichor seeping through the cracks of the walls,
Moon was blood red, shattered like pieces of stones,
Busy streets, busy people, you were picking up phone calls,
Sick of the same situations and indifferent infatuations and cynical clones. You wore black velvet,
And blacker than velvet was the drink,
Wearing your helmet,
You were writing a letter in ink.Lingering voices in your head,
Remind you of the things they said,
Those times when your soul was broke,
You gave yourself a gentle stroke,
The world leaves a scar and you're left behind,
Those words still float somewhere in your mind. You wore black velvet,
And blacker than velvet was the crime,
Wearing your helmet,
You were fighting the greatest war of the time.Where do we go now?
Where do you sleep?
Will you tattoo me on your mind?
When I leave this world behind, will you weep? When you put yourself in a cage,
Do you feel sorry for the one inside?
When you hide your face on the stage,
Do you keep a secret from the one inside? There are untouched thoughts in our heads,
We are the same people, You and I,
Lonely walls coloured in reds,
When you are blue, that's when I cry.You wore black velvet,
And blacker than velvet was the heart,
Wearing your helmet,
You were creating a world of mystical art.
