In the city of love, I live and drown,
In the city of lights, I wear the crown,
I breathe in shadows of candlelight,
I dance in rivers of midnight.Summer rain, wine stain,
Sleeping in the mirror night,
Lavish train, ring in champagne,
Café, music in the candlelight.Eating croissant, crepes and scones,
Blind book dates and fountain runs,
Bridges over rivers and old telephones,
Strolling in hidden alleyways, smokes and guns.Rose wine, creepers winding around gateways,
Street line, meeting paintings in the hallways,
Bookshops in every corner of the streets,
Beds laid in rooms with off white silk sheets.Gazing upon the tower at midnight,
Making bouquet of flowers that I find,
Butterflies so high in flight,
Shakespeare in my mind.Balcony evening coffee time,
Rooftop sessions with starry eyes,
Wine glass in hand, whistling wind chime,
Touching my face a gentle breeze flies.Dans la ville de l'amour, je vis et me noie,
Dans la ville des lumières, je porte la couronne,
Je respire l'ombre des chandelles,
Je danse dans les rivières de minuit.
