Larux's strict gaze met mine, his face stoic, as usual. I never flinched, nor allowed myself to watch him as he paced, his hands behind his back as he assessed me.

"What is your name?" He asked me.

My expression didn't change.

"Inarix Farisee," I replied.

"From where do you hail?"

"The southern woodlands of Cyclodae."

"Why have you come to the Angel capitol?"

"To join the Angelic army."

"Who is your loyalty to?"

"The angel king and queen and them alone."

Larux grinned. "Impressive. Had you not been standing here in your true demon form, I could have believed you."

I said nothing, staring forward still as Larux still looked at me.

"Do you believe you are ready for this assignment, Omen?" Larux queried, his eyes narrowed.

"Yes, sir," I replied.

"That's good. Because I, too, believe that you are prepared well enough to be sent to the angel capitol."

I inhaled, biting my lip. He really believed I was ready. Finally I was approved for the assignment.

Larux shooed me off. "Now, go. I have pressing matters to attend to in preparation for your departure tomorrow morning."

I nodded, and turned around, headed back to my home as Larux watched after me.

So they're sending someone? Finally, someone's going to continue what I have started.

[ERROR-404_File:chr.name not found], no. You're no longer in the living realm, as am I. Why can't you just finally rest?

Well, unlike you, [ERROR-404_File:chr.name not found], I won't bow in defeat once I am struck down. You will not interfere with my plans again, you understand?

He stepped back, flinching as anger edged the other's tone.

Y-yes.

Good.

He walked off, his tail lashing in anger and anticipation as he did.

I knew this was inevitable. At least someone will be prepared for what's to come. I pray you don't fail me, my living friend. The future of Heaven now lays on your shoulders.
