Phayu's pov:

I pulled him flush against me as i buried my nose in his hair, breathing in his scent.

He also had his arms wrapped around me tightly and his face was buried in my chest.

Our legs were tangled together.

We were now laying on the couch infront of the desk, on our sides.

I had taken off my blazer and shoes.

I could feel a sense of settlement and ease in my mind and body.

Something that has been missing is finally back in place.

This scent, this warmth, this body.

I missed this so much more than words could describe.

He felt bigger in my arms than before but he still fit so perfectly.

I combed my fingers through his soft hair, thinking about the words he had said earlier.

I thought he had given up.

But apparently, i was dead wrong.

He was just planning on what to do to solve the problem itself.

And he did it.

In the last 10 months.

It sounds so unbelievable when put into words.

Getting all the powerful and rich people in the country onto your side in less than a year?

All while physically training as well.

Who would've thought something like that was even possible?

But i didn't doubt his words even for a second.

The pure sincerity, pride, and relief i saw in his eyes as he told me that, was enough to have convinced.

You can make up lies but your eyes can't lie.

A small smile formed on my face.

I didn't think he would be willing to go this far for me.

He did all this just so he could stay by my side. So i wouldn't push him away. So we could be together without me worrying about his safety.

I would be the dumbest person on earth if i let him go after he went to such lengths.

How can i ever find anyone else who'll love me to this extent?

Whom i can love this much?

I pressed my lips on the top of his head.

"You're the only one for me, Rain." I whispered against his hair.

I wasn't surprised to hear no response from him.

I knew he had fallen asleep seconds after we laid down on the couch.

"Thank you for loving me. Thank you for not giving up on us. I love you so much. More than words could ever describe." I dropped another kiss on his head before closing my eyes.

I was woken up when i felt movement against me.

I slowly opened my eyes and blinked away the sleep.

I looked down after managing to clear my mind.

A smile automatically formed on my face when i saw him looking up at me with a smile on his face.
