(SP) Our safe sanctuary [2]

2 months later:

I stopped in the entryway after going into my dorm when another scent hit my nostrils.

There's another person here.

An intruder is here in our sanctuary. Near our nest.

My instincts started rearing up immediately as I looked at the extra pair of shoes near Pai's.

Did he bring someone else here?

He never brings anyone here. Much less without asking me first.

I slowly went in, frowning when a bitter scent hit me.

That's Pai's scent.

It smells... Sad. Depressed. Hurt.

A low growl automatically escaped my lips.

Whoever is here has hurt my omega too.

I went in a bit more and stopped when I saw Plerng, Pai's younger brother sitting on the chair near my drawing board. He was playing a video game on his switch.

I looked toward the couch and saw Pai curled up on the far end, half his face tucked into his knees and staring off into space. His eyes were red and starting to swell.

Instinctively, I turned my head toward our room, trying to smell our nest.

But my heart stuttered when I couldn't smell the familiar scent of our scents mixed together.

They were still there but not nearly as strong.

I went closer and looked into the bedroom, a loud growl coming up my chest when I saw the bed.

It was gone.

Our nest was gone.

The bed was made neatly with fresh sheets.

No remnants of the beautiful nest to be seen.

"Ahh, p'Sky!" I looked toward Plerng when he spoke.

He looked worried and confused as he looked at me. "What's wrong? Why do you smell and look so angry?"

I looked toward Pai.

He seemed to be lost in his own head and didn't seem to even realise my presence.

"Did you do it?" I glared at Plerng.

"Did what?" He frowned.

"Destroy our nest." I pointed into the bedroom.

"Our...? I just made your bed since p'Pai had made it so messy trying to hog it for himself. He used to do it a lot at home too. Would steal our clothes and stuff to put into the pile as well. Mom and dad scolded him a lot because of it. I figured you just didn't get to cleaning it up with your busy schedule and everything." He shrugged.

It was them...

His own family destroyed his every attempt at making a nest...

He wasn't allowed to nest in his own home...

This is why he made such a small and uncomfortable one in the far corner at first... Because he was scared I would be the same...

"Get out." I glowered.

He was obviously surprised at my words. "Huh?"

"I said. Get. Out." I pointed at the door.

"P'Sky, i-"

"No one. And I mean no one. Comes into my home and destroys our nest. Get the fuck out before I drag you out by your throat." I growled out.

"P'Sky why-"
