Phayu's pov:

I slowly opened my eyes, blinking quickly to adjust my vision to the sunlight pouring into the room.

I looked around, noticing that i was in one of the observation rooms in the medical wing.

What...

I frowned and tried to remember how i got here.

And then it hit me all at once.

Rain...

RAIN!!

I immediately shot up, and was about to rip out the IV in my arm but stopped when the door slid open.

Papa came in, still looking as grim as before.

I threw off the blanket on me and was about to rip out the IV but he beat me to it.

"Hey hey. What are you doing?" He quickly rushed up to me and pushed me to sit back down on the bed when i got up.

"I need to go see Rain." I tried getting up again but he pushed me back down.

"His condition is still the same as before. There's been no changes. You need to rest."

I pursed my lips as I felt my chest tighten painfully.

"I know baby. I know it's painful seeing your sunshine like that. But you need to mind your own health too. If you make yourself sick, how can you be there for him?" He patted my head gently.

I clutched the sheets tightly in my fists.

"You've been ignoring your health and overworking. And now on top of that, the shock of this incident made you pass out. Rest for a while ok? I promise I'll tell you the moment there are any changes."

"How can I rest when he's like that?" I clenched my eyes shut and hung my head as I felt tears prickling my eyes.

He stepped closer and pulled me into his arms.

I barely bit back a whimper as I snaked my arms around his waist, clutched at his shirt tightly at his back and pressed my face into his chest.

"You always talk about how strong of a boy he is. How he pushes through everything. I'm sure he'll push through this time as well. It's going to be ok." He rubbed my back gently.

I managed to convince him into letting me to go see Rain after the IV ran out.

I wasn't feeling that dizzy anymore so i didn't feel any need to stay in bed.

I sat down on the chair next to the bed and gently took his hand into mine.

The heart monitor was beeping steadily.

The rough texture of the bandage around his hand felt so wrong in my grip.

I pressed my cheek to his knuckles gently, gazing at his face.

He was paler than normal and his face was also bruised up.

"Who did this to you, baby? And how did it happen? We talked just earlier today even. How did things go this wrong in such a short amount of time?" I muttered softly.

Of course, there was no response from him.

"Please wake up soon, ok? P' is waiting. I may have a lot of patience but have some mercy on me, ok? Don't take too long." I rubbed his hand lightly as i spoke in a soft voice.

I kissed his fingers gently before pressing my forehead against his hand, praying silently for him to be ok.

I turned toward the door when i heard it slide open.
