Rain's pov:

I closed the door and drew the curtains the moment i was in my office.

I took off my blazer and draped it over the back of the small couch, before slumping onto the bigger one infront of it.

I gave the excuse of something urgent having come up, but that was a lie.

I have nothing planned for the next 3 hours.

I just couldn't stand being there anymore.

His stare was boring holes into me the whole time.

I could practically hear all the questions he had for me.

I don't know how i managed to keep my composure until then even.

I barely kept myself from smiling and tearing up when our gazes met as i went in.

I clenched my eyes shut as i felt them sting with tears.

Dammit.

I thought i had gotten better at controlling my emotions in the last 10 months.

But i guess everything goes down the drain when it's him.

Fuck...

He hasn't changed at all in the last 10 months.

He still looks the exact same.

Maybe a bit slimmer but that's not noticeable unless you look close enough.

I took a few deep breaths to calm myself down.

Don't break down.

Not here.

Not where anyone can see you.

It's ok.

You can be with him again.

Just a little longer.

Just a few more days.

You've made it through 10 whole months.

You can make it through another few days.

You're ok.

I was laying on the couch, with my arm over my eyes when i heard the door open.

There's only one person who comes into my office without knocking.

I moved my arm and looked in the direction as he and p'Chai came in, closing the door behind them.

"I knew there was nothing urgent you had to get to." Pakin muttered as they came upto the small couches infront of me and sat down.

I rubbed my face with my palm and sighed deeply.

"Honestly, you lasted longer than i thought. That was quite a tough act you put in there." P'Chai.

"I barely kept myself together. I could feel his stare bore holes into me the whole time." I groaned.

"I doubt he listened to anything that was said during the meeting." Pakin chuckled.

"He asked us what was going on. We didn't tell him since we promised you that we would leave that upto you." P'Chai.

I nodded gratefully.

"You know no one's stopping you from meeting him right?" Pakin.

"I know. I just need to get the confirmation for the contract with NR. Then I'm not going to waste a single second before running to him." I muttered.

"When you said you wanted to be stronger, i didn't think this is what you meant." Pakin.

I looked at him with a smirk on my face.
