"Where are we going next?" Y/N asked once they were once again on the bus.
"Home," Nagito answered simply.
"Why, is there anywhere else you wanted to go?""No, I was getting tired anyway. I'm so full and we've been travelling for quite a while now..."
"Well Y/N, was I able to give you a good time? Even with the company of someone like me, was I able to please you?"
Y/N was staring out of the window showing no indication of hearing him.
"Yes. Today was enjoyable."The announcement from the driver let them know that they'd be reaching the bus stop close to the inn in ten minutes.
Nagito had hoped for her to say more, but didn't say anything."Shall I walk you to your cottage up there?"
"You don't have to."
"Alright then. Thanks for spending all day with me, I really had a lot of fun. If you need anything, just call and I'll be-"
Nagito's voice was smothered into complete silence. She poised both of her hands on his cheeks and lowered his face down to her level.
He could feel his cheeks getting hotter and hotter again with every descending degree.
She kissed him full on the lips, the sunset's pale golden glow eclipsing her face in his shadow.
Nagito's ears were on fire- his eyes were wide open and his heart was thumping.
Her fingers caressed his hair tenderly, pulled him in to place his hands around her waist. His fluttering eyelids initially closed to let the feeling sink in.
Just right before she pulled away he pronounced everything in this moment inside his head; their clothes, the warmth in the evening despite the December gale, the doll-house-like inn and the crook of the plains' numerous bosoms, the flower-embellished valleys-And they had kissed right before the wild purple orchids.

"Where were you all day?" Hajime asked him once he had shakily entered their bedroom.
"Hey, are you okay? You look like you're drunk right now.""H-Huh? Drunk?" Nagito chuckled nervously.
"Why do you say so?""Well your face is red and you're stumbling around like a headless chicken-"
Nagito burst into laughter. In fact, he laughed so hard he had to clutch his stomach in pain.
Hajime looked increasingly concerned now, a bead of sweat suspended on his temple."I'll go get you some aspirin I guess..."
"No, no, I'm not drunk, I swear!" Nagito wiped a tear off his eyes.
"I'm just so happy I feel the need to laugh my head off; oh wait- I can't do that because I'm a pfft- a headless...chicken..."So saying, he erupted into peals of careless laughter again. It took a while for Hajime to adjust to his eccentric ecstacy, but he subconsciously smiled while looking at Komaeda doubled up on the floor, laughing at something other than agony, irony and detonations.
"Pfft...you're a crazy bastard you know that?"
During dinner, Nagito sat on his usual spot between Kazuichi and Ibuki. Kazuichi appeared a few minutes later but sat further away, exchanging his seat with Mikan.
"Is-Is something wrong between you two?" Mikan asked anxiously as she sat on Kazuichi's chair instead.
"I d-don't mean to pry but you've been missing the whole d-day-""Everything is fine. I was just on a date, that's why you didn't see me."
"O-Okay then!" The nurse smiled, holding her cutlery. She opened her mouth to say more, but the innkeeper came rushing out of the kitchen.
