"Well...what about you? Have you...met anyone?"

"How would you feel about it if I said yes?"

A surge of dark jealousy intoxicated his mind with the image of Y/N tucked into the shadows with a tall, faceless stranger. Her arms on his shoulders, his hands curled around her waist, their lips meeting disgracefully-

"That's-"

"Don't look so frightful. There are only old couples living on the mountain side. Nobody my age."

Suddenly, Nagito stood up and walked over to Y/N. His eyes were hopeful and bright and his voice was merry.

"Y/N, shall we go out? I want to visit uphill with you. Since I'm here and you're hopefully...free, could we go?"

"We need to be back before lunch."

"Sounds good! Are you going to be cooking for the both of us like I used to back in Towa City?"

She nodded and slipped on tall boots.
"Come on, then. Let's go."

Soon, the both of them were strolling on the high alps. The black-capped chikadees were singing to all their glory, the herbage and the blossoms burst into full beauty, exhibiting their wide petals right at them. Nagito felt so happy, he could have sung himself.

Y/N grunted a bit as her foot slightly slipped. She got back on track immediately and walked on.

"Hey, Y/N?"

"Hm?"

"Could I...maybe hold your hand?"

"...and why is that?"

"I just want to. Do I have to give you a reason for everything? Are you uncomfortable around me? Do I make you uneasy?"

His sudden change of tone alerted her, but she didn't react prominently.
"No...not uncomfortable, I just need a little time to...to get used to-"

But her hand slipped into the folds of his unexpecting one anyway. Pleasantly surprised, he held to it tightly, being careful not to swing it too much.

"Well, I also don't want you to get hurt on this steep place actually! That's why I asked to hold your hand!"

"You should come up with an excuse before you ask for cheesy requests."

"It's not a cheesy request!"

"We've reached the waterfall! Because of the absence of the northern lights in the sky, it's not as beautiful as it was yesterday, but the sunshine does illuminate a ray of nature upon it!"

"Hm, I like it better during night time too. That's why I prefer to take baths late into the day."

"But...what if someone saw you?" Nagito said worriedly.
"Like I did-"

"Men usually don't come here at night because they know the female relatives of their neighbours will be here. You're new, and lost. Don't do it again."

"Yes, of course. But...you didn't seem that embarrassed...for someone you haven't seen in five years-"

"Who knows?" She slipped off her boots and sat on a flat rock, spreading her feet in the water.
"Maybe I'm not that uncomfortable, after all."

That made him instantly happier.
"Great! I'm glad!"

"Don't act so pleased. You've already seen me naked, haven't you?"
