"Ooohhh, would ya look at that, it's a super pretty, pretty boy!" She exclaimed, eyeing the Servant and licking her lips.
"I can't wait to sink my fangs into his little neck!"

Out of the corner of my eye, I think I saw him grimace discreetly.

"Toko! We aren't supposed to kill them!" The other girl yelled, palming herself in the face in frustration.

"Huh? Why the heck not? I don't care much about the sulky girlie here, but I can have a good time slashing up the boy, can't I?"

"No! Get down, Toko!"

But she darted forwards in lightning speed- whoever this new person was- moving too fast for me to focus on a range to fire at. She did a back-flip in mid-air, aiming for the Servant's neck. I raced forwards and pushed him hard into the gravel by taking a running jump at him. I heard the breath getting knocked out of him as both of us crashed into hard ground.

"What are you doing, Miss Fukawa??!" I snarled, gritting my teeth as I crouched low on the floor, my arm over the Servant's shoulders.
"We're supposed to be working together to capture Subject 11A56! How dare you betray us!"

"It ain't no betrayal, Miss Goody Two Shoes! I gotta capture the both of you to rescue Master Byakuya or whatever. Ya didn't listen when I asked nicely!"

"And I am asking you to stop whatever this show you're putting on. I don't know how you suddenly got so strong and why you're behaving like this...but I'll have to report you if you-"

"OooOoooO I'm tremblin' in my boots!" She shrieked, leaping into the air again, skipping on the burning pieces of ruin to hurl herself at us.
"Your report doesn't matter shit to me!"

Shooting a member in the same core would have been usually unforgivable, but it so seems Miss Fukawa has changed sides under an excuse of it being for her Master Byakuya. Byakuya Togami was undoubtedly at the Foundation, awaiting my signal for him to take us.

I raised the gun above my head to shoot. The bullet fired at her but it whizzed by as she effortlessly dodged it, giving a loud high-pitched giggle.

Her leg poised at a dainty kick position, coming straight for me. But I shot at her leg and she screamed as blood spurted out- and she fell to the ground beside me.

"It's over, Miss Fukawa. It's advisable to give up your selfish plan and stay here. Once Byakuya squad comes here, we'll-"

"MISS Y/N!"
The Servant shouted suddenly, his voice raised in a state of panic I had never known of before. He reached his hand towards me, his eyes wide open in danger I couldn't see.
"MISS Y/N, BEHIND YOU-!"

I froze in place. I think the earth came to a stop. An electrical shock rang throughout my entire body, making it writhe inhumanly. This...this was my mistake. I was focusing only on Miss Fukawa. I deemed the other girl as less important...just because she didn't fight. Through blurry, dizzy eyes, I saw that she was holding her friend's taser in her hand, lowering my shocked body gently to the ground. She pushed back the hair from my face, smiling sadly.

"I'm sorry. I know you're a friend of my brother's, right? I'm sorry for wasting all your effort. But I'm sure... you'll get this far again soon."

With that, I think everything I had in my brain so far- my memories of childhood, memories of being taken in by the soft-faced and very kind, Makoto Naegi, being nurtured by everyone in the past few years...my mission, the children I had lived with for less than a month and-
The Servant, who was stated evil but had been nothing but kind to me-

All of those memories warped around in a flash for a brief second- until it swallowed itself whole, like a serpent swallowing its own tail- my mind turned into an empty slate.

Sturdy rope restricting her limbs, she lay bound on a bed. A dim lantern hung above the bed, absolutely still. She noticed the mirrors. They were everywhere, on every wall. Perhaps this house was made up of mirrors?
