'Keep running'

'Run'

'Don't stop'

'Catch up!'

'Of all days, why did it have to be today?! Dammit Shukaku, I'd murder you if I could! But Sasuke first. Definitely him first.'

Kankuro and I were carrying Gaara and taking him away from the crossfire.

"You think Temari will be alright?" I asked Kankuro.

"Of course she will."

"We underestimated him. He's gotten stronger over the course of the month."

I was overly concerned. My husband is being targeted by the village where I made new friends and found my family and my sister-in-law is stuck fighting a jerk whose power significantly rose in a month.

"Dammit all." I muttered.

Protecting Gaara and Kankuro were all that mattered at this point, they're my main focus as well as my child.
All of a sudden I got a huge cramp in my abdomen.

"AHHH!" I screamed as I let go of Gaara and landed on branch.

Kankuro stopped and looked at me.

"What happened?"

"I don't know! AHHH!"

The pain was so unbearable that I couldn't help but scream. I took out a rag and bit onto it as hard as I could, muffling the screams and resulting in tears running down my face. Next thing I knew, my heart had started to burn as well and I could feel it beating rapidly. Sweat was running down my forehead and I could feel my chest getting tighter.

I'm having a heart attack.

"You have to hide, you're having a heart attack!"

"P-protect-"

"Forget that! You can't protect anybody if you die from a heart attack!"

I was struggling to breathe and Kankuro hid me in higher branches where I would be hidden safely.

"Catch up when you can. We have to move forward. Temari will come by and you'll be fine."

I nodded while writhing in pain. He paused, looking as if he were going to change his actions.

"GO!"

Kankuro leaped down and continued running with Gaara.

'Please...be safe. Both of you.'

They were out of my sight and I could hear someone approaching.

"Dammit."

I pulled out a kunai and had it positioned so that the victim couldn't tell where it came from. Sasuke suddenly came into my vision.

'I got you now'

I threw it and that was the worst mistake that could happen. I never miss, but I did because I began to seize. Having been sitting up, I miraculously fell on my side and shook violently as I could hear the kunai hit the branch directly below me.

Not being able to do anything, Sasuke had passed me and I wasn't able to stop him. I had failed my mission as a ninja and a wife.
My seizing had caused me to fall off the branch and I felt nothing as I plummeted to the ground with nobody nearby to save me.

'I'm sorry my child, I tried to save us, but in the end, I wasn't able to do that or save your father. I love you.' I thought as I was sure l was going to fall to my death.
