"Are you nervous?" Hinata, the person helping me at the moment, asked.
"...no...why should I be? I'm marrying the man I love."
"I see, I'm sorry that was silly of me to ask."
"No it's not silly. You were just curious." I said smiling.
"You look really pretty."
"Thank you. You do as well."
"Are you ready Miyuki?"
I took a deep breath and faced her.
"Of course I am."
We walked to the doors of the hall where our ceremony would take place. I heard the beginning of the infamous "Wedding March" play as the doors opened. I looked up and saw Gaara at the end of the hall.
I inhaled heavily and released my breath.
'Let's do this.'
I walked forward with Hinata down the aisle of the small chapel. It had a fairly simple design with only white ribbons decorating the pews and lillies. There was a canopy decorated with lace and white roses over where Gaara waited at the end of the aisle with Kankuro at his side and Temari on the other. The only people inside were the rookie leaf genin, NOT counting Sasuke since he still hadn't stopped staring at me through the entire time I had been in Konoha. Sakura wasn't invited for she was too loud and annoying for any of us to handle. At least Naruto can control himself when I send glares at him.
I felt fantastic in the wedding dress I wore. It was a princess dress with crystals along the bodice and waist. I didnt show any signs of pregnancy, despite being almost 2 months pregnant. My hair was straight with a few curls along the sides of my face with a veil covering my eyes and reaching to my lower back. I wore the pendant I had received from Gaara as well as Mizurei's necklace.
'Mizurei...man, I really do wish you were here to see this. You were a sister to me...but I know you'll be watching me...'
I looked at Gaara again and he seemed amazed and awestruck. I smiled and at last reached him. I handed Temari my bouquet of white roses and turned to face Gaara. He moved the veil that covered my eyes out of my face and took my hands. We looked at each other and then Jiraiya.
"You guys ready?" He asked us.
"Of course." We said simultaneously.
" Dearly Beloved, we are gathered here today in the presence of these witnesses, to join Gaara and Miyuki in matrimony. Whoever does not agree to this couple, speak now or forever hold your peace."
We looked at everyone but they seemed to be smiling happily so I guess nobody wanted to oppose.
"Very well then. Now let us proceed." Jiraiya said. "Alright so everyone here knows what a marriage implies right? Love, caring and unity. So I don't need to go over it for any of you right? Good? Good. Now I believe you have your vows."
Everyone looked at him dumbstruck and amazed at his bluntness. Of course, this is why I chose him anyways.
My eyes began to water a little and Jiraiya asked for the rings to be brought out. Kankuro brought up the rings and we took the others ring.
He gestured for me to go first.
"Gaara, when I first met you, you seemed very lonely. But as the time I shared with you progressed, my feelings of love for you intensified. Not a single day passes where I don't think about you. I am truly blessed to have fallen in love with you and I hope that our marriage will be blessed with many years of happiness and love." I said sliding the ring on his ring finger.
