Chapter 50
"Miyuki?" I hear.
I turn towards the voice and find Mizurei.
"Mizurei?"
"How clumsy are you? Falling down the stairs and falling into a comatose state on your wedding night?!"
"You know?"
"Of course I do! Did you think I abandoned you or something?"
"Well, I haven't heard from you ever since I was admitted into the hospital in Suna because of that stupid B rank mission. Wait, how's the baby?! Is the baby alright?!"
"The baby is fine. Probably just a little scared that's all. And wrong, I have talked to you afterwards. Remember that dream?"
I tried to jog my memory around to think of a dream...but only to achieve a headache.
"'Beware of grass and sound' remember? I warned you for a reason. This upcoming round for the Chunin exam, watch out. The grass and sound village have something up their sleeve and I don't like it at all...I don't know what they're doing, but I have a bad feeling. Oh anyways, congratulations on your wedding AND baby!"
"Seriously? After warning me about a threat, you jump straight into a different topic? You haven't changed a bit." I said.
"Well I haven't changed since I left you know."
"I guess. Wait if you know about the wedding, do you know why it happened?"
Mizurei looked away sadly and nodded.
"I do...and I'm so sorry about what happened. If only I had warned you earlier..." Mizurei said glumly.
"Its ok. It brought some good though. I got married and I'm carrying his child. We're very happy."
"I know, but it happened too soon for you two. You should be doing this later as an older couple. Not when you're 15."
"I know. But you know what? I'm happy right now and we love each other. What more can I ask for?"
"You're a good person Miyuki. Be glad for that gift."
"Thank you."
"Don't you think you should be heading back to your husband right about now? I mean you're in the hospital again with him being worried sick about you AND your baby."
"I would if I knew how." I said.
She raised an eyebrow.
"Its easy. Clear your mind and think of Gaara."
"But will I see you again?"
"More than likely. If I can convince the guards to extend my speaking time. My time's almost out, I'll see you again sooner than you think!" She said waving goodbye before she left in a blink.
I sighed and let out a breath to exterminate all side thoughts from distracting me. I thought of my redhead husband with the insomnia rings and teal eyes.
'Gaara.' I thought.
I felt as if I had been thrown against a wall at 90 mph. I felt so much pain in my leg and head as well as soreness. My eyes felt heavy as I tried to open them. My throat hurt so much as well. It felt as if I had been screaming for hours and I was now suffering for it.
My eyes slowly opened.
"O-ow." I muttered.
"Miyuki?!" Gaara exclaimed in shock.
"The one and only...heh heh" I whispered.
"Are you alright?" He asked holding my hand in his.
“Considering the fact I fell down the stairs and got knocked unconscious, yes, I’m doing alright.”
“Thank goodness.”
“How many times do I have to go to a hospital in a month? What is this, my third time or something?”
“I don’t know, but if you’re fine. It’s worth it.”
“What did they say about the baby?”
“The baby is fine, thank goodness. Nothing happened that would hurt our child.”
“Thank goodness. I really do hope our baby will be fine.”
The doctor that had treated me before walked in the room.
“Hello Miss Miyuki. Or is it Mrs. now?” He asked.
“Mrs.” I said laughing a bit.
“Congratulations. How are you feeling? Dizzy, sore or anything?” the doctor asked me.
“I just feel like I have a sore throat and I feel a lot of pain in my left leg and temple.”
He wrote down something and nodded.
“Alright. Well, you landed on your head and hip, so that explains the soreness and pain. As for your throat, it’s more than likely the medication we gave you. Sore throat is a side effect. Your child is perfectly fine by the way. We did an ultrasound and found everything to be perfectly fine. Actually this fall happened to be convenient because of your appointment that was supposed to be tomorrow. Have you been taking your medication and vitamins?”
“Yes. Three times a day, like it’s written.”
“Good. I’m going to check your head to see what it’s state is, since you did bleed from your wound.”
I nodded and he checked my head and hip to see if everything was fine. He bandaged my head after applying a cream to my wound.
“This will speed up the healing.”
“Thank you Doctor.” I said smiling.
“No problem. I’m going to let you out since you’re fine. Just don’t fall asleep within the next 5-6 hours. 6 preferably, just to be safe.”
“I’ll do my best.” I said smiling.
We walked out of the hospital at around 11:50. It was really late and I still had to be awake for another 6 hours.
"What are we gonna do?" I asked Gaara.
"Maybe we can take a walk?" He suggested.
"Ok."
We walked through the dark village and there was not a single person to be seen. It was very creepy to say the least.
"Gaara?"
"Hm?"
"Are you ready for the match?"
He nodded.
"Can you promise me something?"
He stopped and faced me.
"What is it?"
"Please don't get hurt like last time. I couldn't bear the sight of you in pain."
"I promise."
"Thank you."
Our walk continued on until morning. We sat in a tree and saw the sun rise beautifully into the sky.
"Its even more beautiful here than it is in Suna."
Gaara didn't say anything but nodded and looked at his watch.
"Its almost been 6 hours."
"So should we walk back now? I'm getting sleepy."
"I'll take us back." Gaara said placing me on his lap and wrapped his arms around me. I snuggled into his chest and hugged his waist.
I opened my eyes to find us in the room and he gently placed me onto the bed.
"Good night. I love you so much." Gaara said placing the covers over us.
"Good night. I love you too." I said.
