Bubbles into Waves

Hurricane Angela

Lewis, Roman, Rikki, Emma, and I walk into Cleo's house. Don says "Hi, Girls." Emma says "Hey, Mr. Setori." then Cleo and Kim come running down and Cleo yells "Do me a favor, Don't ever talk to me again." Kim yells "I won't!" Cleo grabs her bag and says "Hey, guys. I'll be ready in a minute. just one thing I've got to take care of." she walks over to where the kitchen and Kim went and she discreetly uses her power to make the sink spray water in Kim's face. I laugh lightly. Cleo walks back and says "All right, all set." and she leaves with us following. Rikki, Roman, and I smile in approval while Lewis and Emma have disapproving looks.

as Cleo, Emma, Rikki, and I walk the school grounds, Rikki asks "So what happened to not using our powers unless we absolutely had to?" Cleo says "I did absolutely have to. You know my sister." we all give her a look and she says "Okay, you guys don't know what it's like. you don't have little sisters." Emma says "Well, I've got a little brother. and he can be pretty annoying sometimes." I add "I have a little brother too. but Mines is mostly adorable." Rikki jokes to Emma"Like the time he almost accidentally forgot that it was his turn to set the table?" Emma says "Exactly. But we sat down and talked about it openly and honestly." Rikki asks "That actually worked?" Emma says "Both times we've had a fight."Cleo says "I don't think Kimmy really responds to reason." Rikki asks "So a jet of water up her nose was the obvious alternative." I shake my head at this conversation.

 Emma, Rikki, Lewis, Roman, and I are all hanging out at the cafe. well, more like they are hanging out and I'm writing some new songs for my set list this weekend. Lewis' phone starts to ring. he says "it's Cleo." he steps away to answer it and says "Cleo, hi. there's a what?" Rikki asks "what's going on?" Lewis tells Cleo "we're on our way." he ends the call and says "I think we're going to have to see this one to believe it." we all head to Cleo's.

when we get there, there is a giant pelican in her bathroom. we head downstairs and Emma asks "What are you gonna do with it?" Cleo says "I guess I'll have to take it back to the marine park. I can't release it if it's injured." Lewis says "Cleo, you could get in big trouble for taking a bird like that." Cleo says "Hey! Kimmy's the one that took it. there's no way I'm getting the blame. is there a prison sentence for something like this?" Rikki asks "Where is Kimmy?" Cleo says "I told her to lock herself in her bedroom for her own protection." Rikki asks "From a pelican?" Cleo says "From me." her phone then starts to go off. She answers "Hello? Yes. I'm just waiting at home in case Angela comes back. Okay. I will. Thank you." she ends the call and says "That was the police. they still haven't found Angela. could my life get any worse than this?" Emma asks "How are we going to get the bird out of here?" Cleo says "I was thinking maybe this." and holds up a giant box with breathing holes in it. I say "We're all going to prison." Cleo says "Hard to believe catching a Pelican could be the least of my problems." Emma says "Tell you what. we'll help you catch the bird and then we'll go look for Angela." Roman asks "Is it too late to leave?" Rikki says "Yes." he sighs. Cleo asks "Really?" Rikki says "Sure. let's get fish breath back to the Marine park." she nods and we spend the next hour chasing the pelican and trying to get him in the box. After catching the bird we go to the beach where Angela is bodyboarding. when we get her she tries to sweet-talk her way out of trouble. I say "Quit it with the sweet talk, kid. You are in huge trouble." she nods and we take her home.

a few minutes after we get her home and make her sit and wait for Cleo. Cleo walks through the door and says "Angela." Roman says "Introducing your Pelican napper." Cleo asks "You? you took the Pelican? why would you do that?" Lewis says "It was to go bodyboarding. wasn't it, punk?" I shake my head at Lewis' fake bad cop skills. Angela says "Well, she wouldn't take me. and I knew you wouldn't let me go by myself. so what else could I do?" Emma asks "Besides kidnaping a pelican?" I say "Yeah, that was dumb. and could get you jail time." she looks at me scared. Emma asks "Where did you get it from anyway?" Angela says "The park. I fed it, and it followed me." Cleo asks "All to go bodyboarding?" Angela says "But I wanted to." Lewis says "And you always get what you want, even if it means manipulating people? Don't you? Don't you?" Angela asks "Is he funny in the head?" Roman says "Okay, Lewis, that's enough detective shows for you." Lewis continues anyway "Cleo, wouldn't let you go, would she? tsk, tsk. no. so you did something to keep her occupied doing what she usually does, fighting with her sister, Kimmy." Rikki says "That bit was brilliant." Cleo asks "Okay, but how did you know for sure that we were going to fight?" Angela asks "Have you two seen yourselves? I mean, come on. the only thing I was worried about was if you'd kill each other." Cleo says "We're not that bad. you make it sound like we hate each other." Angela asks "You don't?" Kim asks "We don't?" Cleo sits next to Kim and says "No. we have our differences, but we're ok underneath." Kim adds "Yeah, we're all right underneath." Angela says "Well, guys, I'm sorry about being rotten. if I could think of something that would help make up for it, I would totally do it." Angela starts to walk away when Cleo says "Actually, there is something." Angela says "But then again, bodyboarding has tired me out a bit." Cleo smirks and says "You'll have the energy for this." Cleo got Angela to clean the Pelican poop at the Marine Park.
