I woke up the next morning to my phone ringing. I groan and see it's Emma. I say as I answer "Someone better be dying." Emma frantically says "Miss Chatham is missing." I sit up alert and ask "what do you mean missing? how do you loose an old lady, Emma?" she says "I don't know. she was her when I went to bed but I can't find her now." I say "okay, let's go check the marina. maybe she went to get her boat." Emma says "okay, meet you there." she hangs up and I quickly get dressed and run out to the Marina to meet Emma.

when I get there I see Emma and Zane. I groan and look up saying "You just love making my life the tiniest bit harder, don't ya?" I walk over and see Miss Chatham's boat missing and Zane's jet ski almost sinking with a huge scratch on it. Zane says as I walk up "What's this?" He adds "That old bat. she did this." I say "Knock it off, Zane." Emma says "Zane, you don't know that." he runs to his boat and yells "Yes, I do." he continues to mutter something and I look at Emma and whisper "We have to do something." she says "yeah, but we can't let Zane know we're Mermaids." Emma tries "Zane!" he takes off to find Miss Chatham." I come up with an Idea. I smile and say "we need Lewis!" she nods and we head to the cafe to find him.

we walk in and see he's reading. Emma says "Lewis, we need you. well, we need your boat, and we need you to drive it." she drags him out with us, while Emma explains what's going on. he asks as we set the boat to leave "And you guys can't swim because?" Emma says "Zane's out there chasing her. he'd see us." I say "And Zane knowing. is. not. an. option." he says "I know that." finally we leave to catch up to them. he goes as fast as he can. I ask "Can this rust bucket go any faster?" he says "Look, I know as mermaids you can swim at the speed of light or whatever. but my perfect boat can't." I groan and say "We need to hurry." he speeds up a small bit.

finally, we get close enough and Lewis yells "There's the Lorelei. Look. near the Mako Island mangroves." I say "That's Zane's boat." Emma adds "He's already here." when we get closer Zane hears and runs out saying "It wasn't my fault. I didn't do anything." I say "What happened?" we all run in and Lewis is checking for breathing. He says "She's still breathing." I say "We got to get her back. and fast." Emma says "Zane. there's gotta be some pills down there, go and have a look." he goes and I say "Let's get her on Lewis's boat." Emma checks if Zane found anything. we get her in the boat with some medication. Emma says "Thanks, Zane." he doesn't get off her boat though. Emma says "Come on, let's go. Get in." he says "She'll be all right. I'm staying." Emma yells "Zane, if you touch any of her things..." He says "I'll catch up." I yell "Zane! you're a pig!" Lewis says "There isn't time to argue. Let's go." we take off so we can get Miss Chatham to a hospital.

after we are a little bit away we hear a big explosion. we look over and see smoke coming from the boat and it sinking. Emma says "Oh no." Lewis asks "Where's Zane?" Emma says "I can't see him." I start to panic slightly. I may be mad at him but I don't want to see him hurt. I yell hoping to hear him "Zane! Zane! Zane?!" Emma says "One of us will have to go down." Lewis says "You guys can't. he'll know your secret." I say "I don't care." Miss Chatham smiles and says "They don't have a choice. do you, girls?" I shake my head. Emma says "Make sure she gets to the hospital, Lewis." I say "Listen, you get him out. I'll stay behind till you are gone and find Miss Chatham's treasure, Okay?" she nods and we jump in. I wait for a little bit. after I see Emma swimming away with Zane, I swim in and look around till I find a necklace like Cleo's I smile and grab it. then I head to Mako Island where Zane and Emma are.

I put it away for later. I stand with Emma on the beach with a passed-out Zane. I pace back and forth as he hasn't woken up yet. Emma says "Will you stop it? it's getting annoying." I sigh and say "Sorry." after another minute he finally starts to cough and wake up. I breathe out "Oh thank god." he sits up and looks at us. Emma says "It's all right. you floated up, we dragged you to shore." I add "And jeez are you heavy dude." Emma shakes her head at me. he looks to the side and sees his boat that we pulled in. He says "But I went down. I couldn't get out." Emma says "Somehow you did. you're lucky." I say "Yeah, thank whatever angel you have watching over you that you did." Zane stands and says "There was something down there." I look at Emma freaked out. he adds "Something...I don't know." he asks us "Did you guys see anything?" I say "No, sorry, Zane." Emma says "No." and looks down. he walks closer to the water and says "Yeah? Well, I saw something. And I'm going to find out exactly what it was." I say "You should really drop it. Just be grateful you're alive, Zane." he shakes his head and we all get in his boat in silence and go home.

Emma and I meet Miss Chatham back at Emma's later. we sit on the couch and I smile and say "We got something for you." Emma passes her the box. Miss Chatham smiles and opens it to see the necklace I found in her boat. Miss Chatham smiles "My treasure." she pulls out the necklace. She continues "You girls found it." Emma says "Well, Madi, found it." I smile and say "It was not easy. but you've helped us so much. it was worth the work." Miss Chatham gives me a hug in gratitude. Emma says "Yeah, it's pretty dark down there now." Miss Chatham grabs Emma's hand in gratitude as well. Emma says "I'm sorry about the Lorelei." Miss Chatham opens the necklace and says "It was 1955. I'm the one on the far left." Emma says "I thought so." Miss Chatham continues "And Julie, Gracie, and Robin." I ask "What happened?" Emma asks "Where are they now?" Miss Chatham says "Gone. thank you. this means more to me than anything." Lisa, Emma's mom walks in and says "I've got the retirement village on the line. there's a vacancy if you want it." Miss Chatham says to us "You've done more than enough for me. I'm sure I'll like it there." Lisa walks away to talk to the retirement home. I smile and say "Thank you, guys. but I should get home before my mom flips a bird." we all laugh and I head on home for the day after a crazy morning.
