NARRATOR

Decidueye had missed an important detail. During her flight, she was blinded by panic and only tried to find an easy way to solve her problems instead of accessing the situation thoroughly. If she hadn't flown away in such a rush, maybe, and just maybe, she could've seen the Trainer walking together with the Mewtwo in the forest.

Mewtwo tried to force him to go outside with it. Taking a stroll, walking together, talking, anything that can help her to get closer to him. But her efforts are naught when she realized how bad she was at talking to others, or at least talking in a not-so-threatening way.

They stopped when the Trainer spotted a group of Growlithes running around on a plain field. At first, they were aware of him, and they were afraid, but the Trainer make quick work of the situation, effectively earning all their trust in him.

The occurrence confuses Mewtwo. It never knew such a Pokemon could be tamed easily just with a simple peaceful method. For all its life, no Pokemon would even dare to come close to it. All of them would instantly be intimidated by the presence of the Mewtwo. It knows about it, but no matter how hard it tried to suppress the aura, it would end with a similarly disappointing result.

'How can you quickly make them fond of you?' Mewtwo asked with great curiosity.

'Hmm? Fond of me? I don't think that's what happening here.'

'Of course that's what's happening here.'

'Hmm, I doubt it. But even if it's true, then I'm glad I was liked by them.'

"He doesn't even realize it and he doubts himself." The Mewtwo thought when it heard his response. Not only did he tame a group of Growlithes in seconds, but he also did it without needing the feel to do it. In other words, he is simply being himself, naturally.

'This reminded me of my Pokemons...'

'Your...Pokemon.' Mewtwo gets intense. He mentioned them once more, and this time as well he didn't mention Mewtwo being inside the same group of "His Pokemon".

'It could be a lonely three days on this island waiting for them to heal, but instead, I was accompanied by Mewtwo.'

His words ended Mewtwo's train of thought. It didn't expect to hear such words from him. Mewtwo stared at him in silence, where he still has the Growlithes circling him trying to play with him. One of them jumped into his arms, licking his face. Feeling the coarse tongue on his face soothes his heart, knowing the Growlithe does love him as Mewtwo mentioned.

Noticing the Mewtwo was being rather quiet, the Trainer glances at it, where he sees Mewtwo staring at the ground unmoved. One hand under its chin and another rested horizontally holding the other hand in place mimicking a posture similar to that of somebody who's thinking. A few seconds later, Mewtwo's face slowly turns red.

Not knowing how to react the Trainer assumed it was flustered by his words. He scratched the back of his neck, feeling sweat dripping from walking through the forest for the entire day. Perhaps it would be a great time for them to head back, as the sun is visibly preparing itself to set.

The Trainer notices it. He lifted the Growlithe from his lap onto the ground.

'Sorry little fella, I think I need to go back.' He smiles once more at them, and the group of Growlithe wagged their tail, fairly happy about his visit.

His heart stirred seeing the Growlithe enjoy his company, the feeling of being appreciated felt undeserved for him, but it doesn't feel bad. It's not every day he gets to feel such a way. Then he gets up on his feet, and walked over in front of Mewtwo.
