It's been 8 days since the team left for their mission and Heidi has thrown herself into work, she finds out tomorrow about her spot as Chairman.

Heidi was a store in the city, they had several call offs so she ended up behind the counter working as a barista that day in a borrowed apron.

Six large men with guns barged in at once, ordering every customer to leave. They locked the doors behind them so the associates were trapped. Heidi started to panic, this was how her parents died. She could hear the men in hushed tones talking about pretending to rob the place, but really they were looking for her. She heard them say that she was the girlfriend of Captian America.

"Okay, who has the keys to the safe? Nobody has to get hurt today." One man demanded, pointing his gun at each barista for a moment.

Heidi raised her hand, she had an idea. "Only the regional manager has the key to the safe."

"Then somebody better call them, Charlie" he said, looking down at the name badge on her borrowed apron.

"I'm the assistant manager in training, I'll call him" she declared, pulling her phone out of her pocket.

She dialed Steve, after a few rings he finally picked up and Heidi found herself relax at just the sound of his voice.

"Sugar I can't-" he said before Heidi interrupted him.

"Hi, Mr. Rogers sir, this is Charlie the assistant manager of the West 34th location, we have a customer saying he needs to see you immediately" she was shaking, she was pretty sure even her voice was shaking.

"Sugar, you okay?" Steve asked hesitantly.

"No. It's nothing like that, they just have a complaint and insist on seeing you. Can you get here?" She added, hoping he caught on by now.

"They're not just robbers are they?" He asked, his voice went cold, terrifying.

"No, sir. They're willing to wait for you. Can you be here as soon as possible, I feel bad making them wait"

"I'm coming" he said before hanging up. Heidi felt relief but still panic, what if they realized who she was? What did they even want from her.

--

"Tony, I gotta go" Steve said as soon as he hung up the phone.

"You just jump whenever she calls you?" Tony said with a chuckle.

"She's in trouble, people are after her" he said as he walked away.

"Then we're all coming, right Tony?" Nat declared, quickly following Steve. The whole team left to help Steve.

--

"How do we even know this Heidi is here?" One of the men whispered to another as they scanned the group of associates huddled together in a corner, paralyzed with fear.

"This is where her phone pinged her to, she's probably hiding somewhere when she saw us come in. Remember the fate her parents had?" The man responded.

"The reports say the Captian towers over her, I bet she's small and hiding somewhere we don't know about. We just have to stall until we find her." Someone whispered.

Heidi was lucky none of the other baristas heard this, afraid they'd point her out to save themselves. She just had to wait, Steve was coming to save her.

She watched as the men stole the money from the register but didn't seem interested in it. They just shoved it in their pockets and didn't bother to pick up any bills that fell as they did so.
