Heidi woke up to see that it was dark outside, but the penthouse was lit up. She opened her eyes and saw Thor laying next to her. "Hey." She said sleepily. Thor smiled brightly and pulled her up onto his chest. "Rogers and Barnes had to head out for something. I just missed you." He admitted.

"Steve took Bucky to get a haircut." Heidi told him, nuzzling into Thor's chest.

"I thought that's what he said." Thor admitted, Heidi laughed and closed her eyes again. "Do I have to share you with Barnes now?" Thor asked. Heidi finally sat up, leaning against Thor's chest.

"Somebody sounds jealous." Heidi teased.

"I'm not jealous." Thor protested. "I already share you with Rogers, now I have to add Barnes to it?" He asked. Heidi couldn't help but laugh. "Thor, Steve is my husband. If anything he shares with you." Heidi said.

"You know what I mean. I don't want to lose my best friend." Thor said, looking away from her, Heidi grabbed onto his face and turned his head to look at her again. "I'm not going anywhere, Thor. You'll never lose me, we're family." Heidi promised.

"Good. Now how could you think I would ever miss Dustin being born?" Thor asked with a warm smile. Heidi rolled her eyes and let out a quick laugh, embarrassed with herself for reacting so strongly yesterday. "You weren't here." She said. Thor leaned her head against his chest, putting his head on top of hers. "We're family, nothing could keep me from you." Thor promised.

"You big softie." Heidi teased, fighting back wanting to cry at Thor's sweet words. He rolled his eyes and kissed the top of her head. "Go back to bed." He insisted, but Heidi sat straight up. "I'm awake, movie?" She offered.

"Whatever you want." Thor promised, he hopped out of bed and scooped Heidi up, carrying her out to the livingroom. She sat between his legs on the couch, her back leaned against his chest and his arms around her. The two laid together, happily watching Insidious Chapter 2.

"Thor?" Heidi asked, laying her head back onto his shoulder to see his face.

"Whats up?" Thor asked, smiling down at her.

"Do you think you'll ever love again?" Heidi asked, Thor looked down at her lost. "What do you mean? I do love, I love you and Dustin." He said.

"No, like you loved Jane." Heidi corrected herself, she saw Thor's smile fade but was replaced by a fake smile. "I'm totally over her." He lied. Heidi rolled her eyes and leaned her head back further until she could reach to kiss his cheek. "You're a terrible liar. But you deserve to be happy." She said.

"I am happy. I'm laying here watching a ghost movie with my best friend, in a couple weeks I get to meet Dustin." Thor promised her.

"I love you, Thor." Heidi promised, she did love Thor, he was family. She hadn't had a family since she was 7 until she met Steve. But she found a family in The Avengers.

"I love you, Heidi." Thor said back, before Heidi he didn't know it was possible to pick your family. He didn't know you could love someone that wasn't blood or romantic. The two turned their attention back to the movie, Heidi laying her head back onto Thor while they watched it.

Heidi couldn't help but smile when she heard the elevator open and Steve walked out, Bucky closley behind him. His now short hair styled perfectly.

"You're a babe!" Heidi said happily at the sight of him, watching him shift nervously. "This is the Bucky I should've kissed." Heidi teased, laughing when she saw him blush.

"You're a cruel woman, sugar." Steve teased, he walked over to the couch and stole a kiss from Heidi before heading into the kitchen to grab some water.
