{BEGINING OF PART 2}

Completely lost, I wait for him to conclude his sentence.

"With how you dress and cut your hair and such... And now... Being engaged to someone like..." He continues, finally shooting me a quick glance.

Why is he talking to Herah at all? And about her f*ckin'clothing?! Are you kidding me?!

I clear my throat once more, to see if it is a relevant time for me to talk.

Gotta just be patient.

"I got upset because you left, for several days and didn't care to contact us because you were with this man." Mr. Kojo says, glaring at me.

Herah warned me about him... It's sad to see she did not exaggerate.

"I am currently, angry that you are planning on marrying a man with tattoos all over his body and on his face! Because he isn't good for you. For God's sake, Herah... That is really despicable." Mr Kojo spits out, trying to continue his insulting rampage.

He is then stopped from saying the last part of it by Ms. Michelle.

"Come on, now. Honey... Don't bash our daughter or our son in law-" She says.

"I blame your negative influence on my daughter for Herah's love and obsession with all of these evil things!" Mr Kojo says to me.

"Last but not least, you cannot or will not marry my daughter or have any relations with her or this family ever again. I, as the head of this household, forbid it!" He says with extreme confidence making me wipe the little bit of hatred and spite he had spat out of my eye.

Does he not see the ring on her finger? She already said yes!

Just then my eyes become blurry and my mind gets cloudy.

What the f*ck is going on with me?!

I try hard to focus on the conversation happening before me, but the hasy feeling in my head only grows.

I cannot help but laugh on the inside at all of this... Dealing with Mr. Koko is like dealing with a child.

"Last but not least..." He says.

Finally.

I think back to his previous words, feeling the same impulse that had earlier allowed me to hit him, as it creeps up. I speak, brushing it off and ignoring it.

"I am sorry, Mr Kojo..." I say, pausing to make sure it remains polite.

"I apologize for hitting you in the face... I had thought that you were physically abusive to my fiancé, Herah. And I lost my temper when you came at me. It was not right." I explain, using my hands, allowing them to grab ahold of Herah's.

I intentionally call Herah's name and remind him that, we will, indeed be getting married. With or without his approval.

I do not seek or need his blessing. In short, he doesn't deserve Herah! Herah deserves me.

"You were still abusive to her, but not physically, so I shouldn't have physically put my hands on you. It is just what you said about hurting her..." I spit back at him, not wanting to get pissed off.
