The air was open and silent, brushing against his skin in a refreshing manner. Like a splash of cool water on your face during a hot day outside. Stirring his mind enough for the rest of the world to register. The ground beneath him soft with shreddings, blades of grass welcoming his drained body back into the dream reality with open arms and a wise tone. And thinking about his last time here...god has the earthy silence ever seemed so inviting? The only way it could feel safer was if it was the sand from the beach at his house. He practically hugged the ground back, stirring only a little to shift as though he were sleeping in his bed. He didn't want to get up. His body felt too weak and tired, and the ground just felt so secure. There was no noise, no pain, no worries, no anything except that. It was wonderful. Even when he felt a presence nearby kneeling by his side, all he could do was let out a groan and shift to stay comfortable where he was. "Five more minutes.." He pushed out in a tired plea, as if this was something as simple as waking up for school. Well, in his mind maybe it might as well been, but not to the presence.

Clearly not at all amused, and maybe a bit cross, the presence became overshadowing as if towering over the boy. Giving him a little shockwave before he felt a pair of hands gripping his shoulders as best they could and shaking them hard. Forcefully eager for him to get up, practically slamming him into the ground and hitting his back. He grunted, getting ready to protest in annoyance when any words forming were cut off by the loud sound of a splash, followed by the sudden shine hitting his eyelids like a flashlight had been shot in his face for a moment. The thing that, finally, made him open his eyes and pull his exhausted body up into a sitting position. "What..ok.. I'm up..." He groaned again rubbing his face in the early moments of calm before actually seeing where he was. Soon finding himself in a circle shaped small clearing of glowing glittering orange trees dropping down the sparkles they seemingly grew, letting them flutter and fall to the fall orange yet healthy dew painted grass making up the area with the help of the various small patches of little white flowers. The basic kind you'd most likely see in the wild, and by wild I mean woods. The trees completely surrounded the area like a tall thick fence with only one pathway he could see out of the place ahead of him. Beautiful, and not at all affected by the fact there seemed to be sunlight pouring in from somewhere in the endless void above.

But most importantly, the source of the sound and odd glow right in his face, the thing he noticed the most almost immediately. A small, round body of water sitting right in front of him in the center of the clearing. Not exactly a perfect circle, but close enough. With what looked like clean clear water rippling and sloshing from whatever had fallen in, while giving off a slowly dulling glow from within the water. A surprising contrast of violet pulling his attention, spiking his heart in his chest, and to the seeming surprise of the presence, making him bolt over the last couple feet to the edge of the pond without a second to think. It was instinctive, a fight or flight reaction the presence simply watched in curiosity as it had him in a sudden panic with his body over the top of the water. Struggling to see inside through the blaring color practically overtaking the liquid's surface, even if it seemed to be sinking deeper into what was surely some sort of abyss. His heart was pounding, his head was screaming, and if he wasn't awake before he sure as hell was now. The panic and sense of fear clouding his thought process as it fueled his body to move.

Do something! Do something! He's got to do something - anything - she's in trouble..!

Looking frantically around from the water to his surroundings he tried to find something he could use in some way. Finding only trees and grass until his eyes glanced up. Feeling a sense of momentary relief when he saw a thick dark green thornless vine stretching down from somewhere above the pond. Relief rushing in as he scurried to the tree not far from the spot. Thinking he could take the vine off and extend it down in the water for the light source to grab. Like a makeshift rope. That relief faded fast however, when he tried to grab the vine and his hands went right through it. Phasing through like it wasn't even there. An odd shiver shocking him from his hands down his arms and swirling his stomach. A very familiar force causing imagery of thorns and cracked earth to flash through his mind with a gasp. He stepped back, unsure what to make of that but soon disregarding it as his eyes scanned for something else to use.
