29 - Drastic Changes...

June, 3rd, 2017 = three years till the accident.

For the last couple weeks, the schedule is the same. His mom watches over him as he rests on the couch, his dad leaves for work and his sister comes home from school. But at the current moment, he hears Aph pace the floor back and forth that soon stops when her phone goes off.

She taps the voicemail on her phone's screen after unlocking it, playing it aloud.

"Aph! We really need you! We are swarmed here. Apparently a car pileup occurred and since we're the nearest hospital to the accident, we're getting all the victims. Come asap. Luci."

"Are you going?" Ethan whispers. "It sounds like your needed."

Aph sets her phone down. "My son is more important."

"But you're a doctor. Last I checked, a doctor saves lives. So, go save lives, mom. I'll be fine here."

"You're coming with me. I can't leave my ill son here alone." Aph fires back.

"I'm not ill, I just fainted is all."

"All the more reason to bring you with me. At least if you faint again, I'll be able to check your vitals afterwards."

Aph's silver Prius pulls up to the hospital as she hops out after parking in a parking spot. Ethan hopping out of the car after her and when she locks it, she jogs inside. Her son walks behind her, not having the energy to run after her suddenly.

"Aph! Thank goodness you're here!" Luci shouts as she spots Aphmau jogging in, noticing Aphmau's teenage son walking into the er. "Oh, you brought Ethan."

"He fainted twice last month so Aaron has me keeping an eye on him should he faint again." the petite woman answers, halting in front of Luci.

"Just make sure he doesn't get in the way." Luci replies. "The last thing we need is him being in our way of helping."

"Don't worry, Aunt Luci. I won't. I'll just hang around the cafeteria. That shouldn't be busy at the moment, right?"

"Of course not. Be careful, and remember to let me know immediately if you feel like your going to faint or something." Aph presses her lips to his forehead before he walks away from her, heading up a few floors to the cafeteria in an elevator.

"Lycan! Velussi! Move it!"

An eleven year old girl decked out with her brunette-blonde hair in two pigtails kicks her feet back and forth in her chair.

"Big brother, hurry up! I'm getting hangry!" she complains right as Ethan walks into the cafeteria.

Another brunette-blond teenage boy stands at the counter, deciding what to order.

"Sarah, I'm going as fast as I can." the teenage boy replies. "You're getting impatient."

"But Alec." she whines.

"Alec?" Ethan grins and folds his arms. "I didn't know you were here."

Alec swivels his body around, only to narrow his navy eyes at Ethan. "You're everywhere, aren't you?" he growls.

"He'll have two crispy chicken sandwiches with a small coke and a small water." Ethan ignores him, walking up the counter and orders for Alec.

"What are you doing here?" Alec whispers. "Sarah's doctor sent us here."

"My mom works here." Ethan reveals. "What about you?"

Alec sighs as the man behind the counter hands him his food, he slips the man a few dollar bills and walks over to where Sarah sits.
