28 - Chasing Devils

ONE WEEK LATER, May 23rd, 2017

Aaron slams the car door shut as Ethan hops out, walking past his father after throwing a confused glare at him. The older Lycan can only sigh as he trudges behind his son, locking his car along the way.

Ethan reaches the door and opens it, pausing as Aaron walks in behind.

"Aaron! What'd the doctor say?" Aph asks, hustling out of the kitchen and towards the two males.

"Can we talk in private? In the meantime, Ethan; don't forget to take your medication and make sure you do your homework. You missed almost two weeks of school."

The teenager scoffs. "Fine. I'll do that." he growls.

Aaron leads Aph outside their front door, closing the door afterwards.

"The doctor said that he fainted due to lack of blood flow to his brain. Then the doctor took Ethan for some tests and uh, his heart failure something that's called "biventricular heart failure" whatever that is."

Aph stares at him in pure shock. As a doctor she's familiar with that term. "I've heard of that. Luci and I had a patient with that and when we got a CT consult on it, I heard what it was. It's when both sides of the heart fail." she explains.

"That doctor, whatever his name was, also said it's class two." Aaron adds. "With some symptoms."

"What do we do now, Aaron? I mean, this is life-changing news, and there's also Locus." Aph's eyes turn to ground.

"First, we'll fill Alina in on this. Second, we start training them, and should Ethan show more symptoms, Alina can ease him out of training. Third, I think it's time we tell our kids the truth. Ethan at least, deserves to know."

"Later. I don't want to lose the amazing relationship we have with him just because he found out we were lying to him his entire life." Aph whispers. "I can't do that to our son."

"Nana told that the how he got to Borneca in the first place was because he teleported. With that being said, it's high time we start watching him more closely." Aaron whispers.

"He teleported?! You told me only Alphas could."

"In conclusion, the Demon Wolf has been held solely accountable for the actions he committed and in doing so, lead to his untimely death. It is also stated that since all Lycans, including the Demon a wolf himself, are born with anemia; this makes them more susceptible to dying by the hands of anybody. In other words, Lycans are not immortal like they once were and the fifty year old war the Demon Wolf created, has done anything but help this case." Alfred sums up their project as Ethan stands beside him.

"Good work you two! Very informative facts about the Demon Wolf. Next up, we have the wolf of Blood, Terzo presented by Alina, Alice, and Evelyn." the teacher calls out, beaming softly at said students.

Ethan and Alfred take their respective seats as the former mentally panics. He's read everything he could find on his wolf but the fact his own sister did her project on said wolf, he can't help but worry as to what information she found. He lets his head lean propped up by his hands and elbows on his desk as he pays attention to the front of the classroom.

"Ahem, we chose the Wolf of Blood, Terzo for our project. Terzo didn't come into the world until sixteen years ago when a newborn baby boy became his bonded human half. But before that, Terzo or should I say Serenity, remained dormant, locked up in a hidden realm for his deadly actions he took prior to that. These actions included the deaths of at least six Alpha werewolves but it was the Blood Massacre years later that gave him his nickname." Alice begins.
