"Isa?" a voice says as the brunette turns her head around, eyes looking at the man standing in the doorway.

"River." she beams. "How kind of you to stop by."

River snorts. "I technically shouldn't be here but Tawny insisted, said I should visit you before the mating ceremony."

She fixates her head back to the window. "Right, the mating ceremony. I wish I never met him. Everyone tells me David is the worst of them all. That as Tyler's eldest, it's possible he's just as bad as his father."

"Yeah. His father did kill yours and our Alpha." River comments. "But hey, look on the bright side; maybe you'll have kids with him."

"Ha, no." Isabelle whispers. "I hate him."

A brunet man steps into her room, causing a drop in the atmosphere and Isabelle to snort at him.

"Must you do that thing with the atmosphere. I'm already regretting being involved with your kind." the brunette says.

The man rolls his eyes. "How you ended up as my brother's mate, I will never know. I do know this, Nicole said she'd stop by and help you get ready for Saturday."

Icy blue orbs narrow at him. "Like I want to even go through it!"

"Isa..." River starts but she throws a glare at him.

"I wish I was never associated with the Cardarelli bloodline! You all are like Tyler! A werewolf who loves to murder innocents! Spread innocent blood over the streets of Borneca!"

"Beta Salomon, choose your words carefully." the man threatens.

"Oh please, Henry. I will choose my words however way I want." she flares back.

Henry growls. "Stubborn-ass woman. Isabelle, I was warning you."

"Warning me?! Ha! Pa-lease! You were just warning your own dickwad. I don't have a care to listen to your foolish warnings." Isabelle grins.

"Gamma Hall, how can you put up with this Beta?"

River shrugs. "Easy, I don't. Josh did."

"WHERE IS SHE?!" a voice echoes the house.

Isabelle snarls lowly. "You just had to get him involved."

"The warning for you...was about him." Henry reveals. "Look, he does love you; he's just...a tid bit protective over you."

The atmosphere drops again as an onyx haired man suddenly teleports into the room, his chocolate colored eyes settling onto Isabelle.

"Where's Maria?"

"Maria's busy helping with the pups. I was ordered to fetch you for my mother wants to train you. Or at least start."

"No." Isabelle immediately responds.

"I know it's difficult but I do love you, Izzy. More than Maria." the onyx haired man tells her.
