there was a soft hum, a noise hyungwon was familiar with, but it was just loud of enough even through the closed bedroom door to wake him up. he opened his eyes to the dimly lit room the only light peaking through was from the small break between the blinds.

and it took him seconds to realize nari was not in bed with him. he heard the hum stop for a minute before it started again. he sits up and groggily makes his way out the bedroom. making his was down the hallway he sees her pushing the vacuum alongside the couch as she tried to get into every crevice it seemed like. her long hair messily pulled up into a pony tail and she was still wearing her at home clothes. an oversized t-shirt, that was most likely his and jogging pants.

his bare back pressed against the cool wall as he leaned back to admire her. knowing deep down how'd he miss the moments like these. the simple ones. in a couple weeks it wouldn't be like this it would be her alone in the apartment and him at the military base counting down the days until she could visit him and the days he could be home.

they seemed to be getting back to their rhythm as a couple as well. after the accident, her recovery and the conversation, they had over a week ago about her feelings, the mood has been up between the two.

nari stops the vacuum, "why are you staring at me?" she asks in her playful tone placing a hand on her hip.

he immediately breaks from the trance and smiles at her, "because i want to know why there's a crazy hot woman vacuuming so early in the morning."

"well maybe because tomorrow is christmas and your brother and mother are coming this afternoon to spend the holiday with us. this is the first time i'm meeting your brother and i don't want him to think i'm a messy person." she says quickly and rapidly as if it came out in one single breath.

"trust me he'll think you're far from messy, let's go back to bed," he mutters holding his arms out for her.

she shakes her head, "go grab a broom."

he sighs, "you're stressing yourself out let's go to bed and relax for a minute. it's christmas."

"no tomorrow is christmas," she respond. "today is the day i stress about everything."

he drops his arms, and sighs, "it's our first holiday together and you want to act like a crazy person?"

she nods, "you knew i was a crazy person when you first met me."

"no," he responds. "when i first met you, you seemed shy and timid. you barely even spoke."

"oh i forgot we met before that day," she says as she walks the vacuum back to the linen closet they had in the hall as she walked past him.

he nods, "the second time i met you i thought you were strong. then i slowly realized you are crazy but like the most beautiful crazy person i have ever met." he chuckles looking over at her as she disappears into the spare bedroom.

"you think your brother will mind sleeping on the couch?" she calls out.

he stands up right walking over to lean on the door frame as he watched her fixing the sheets. "he better unless he wants to sleep in bed with our mom or in between us." he teases.

she rolls her eyes, "you are so annoying and unfunny." she mutters. as she tries to leave the room. he blocks her in, "hyungwon."

"babe," he responds back looking down at her arms across his chest not budging as she tried to walk past. he wraps and arm around her, "let's just go and lay in bed for a bit." he whispers to her.

"hyungwon," she protests looking up at him. "there is so much to do still."

"what needs to be done?" he whispers holding her close. "at this point you're making excuses."
