nari held her head in her hands. she hadn't had much sleep last night feeling bad for the argument she had with hyungwon. there was no need for the argument but it seemed like they both had insecurities they had to work on.she left his place early this morning and did her best not to wake him, not wanting to bother him and avoid that awkward conversation.
"nari."
she looks up and sees her coworker, park jungwoo peaking over the cubicle partition. "did you get in contact with that photographer?"
"oh yeah," she says nodding grabbing her planner looking at the dates. the photographer being hyungwon who she confirmed the date with through text. she knew things didn't end well with him last night and wasn't sure if he even wanted to speak to her. so a small text worked. "uhm he said monday would work."
"perfect." jungwoo says sitting in his chair. "you okay you seem out of it?"
"just a stressful weekend, hopefully it gets better." she says putting in the date with the company calendar.
"well cheer up butter cup, you and i will be partnered up on this and i can see how much of a superstar you are," jungwoo teases.
nari sighs, "great i get to work with you," she responds back playfully before looking at the time. "oh look at that i need to go. i have a meeting. you need anything before i go?" she asks as she begins to toss her things into her bag.
he shakes his head no, "nope. got a big date to go to?" he asks raising her eyebrow.
"oh god no." she puts on her jacket. "probably the exact opposite of that."
"ok well, fighting, i guess."
she laughs, "bye jungwoo have a nice night."
she walks out the office making her way quickly out the building. she told hyunwoo yesterday she'd meet him at his office at 5:30 and it was currently 5:10. she made her way there by train and basically ran the remainder of the way.
she ran to the front desk saying she needed to see hyunwoo. it wasn't long until she made he way into the office seeing hyungwon was there with hyunwoo. she figured he wouldn't be there since their fight. "hello, i'm so sorry i'm late. i got held up in the office."
"you're fine i was just finishing up with hyungwon," hyunwoo says motioning to the chairs. "have a seat. if you want it to be private."
"no he can stay with me. he's my partner now. i believe he should be here." she states walking over giving hyungwon a soft smile before looking at hyunwoo. "so i got your text saying that he got the papers."
"yeah he received the divorce papers today at his office and now we're just waiting. i made sure to specify that you didn't want anything in particular just the possessions that are yours and the apartment."
"you asked for the apartment?" hyungwon asks eyebrow raised.
nari blushes, "hyunwoo says since it was purchased by my parents i should ask for it."
"i told her it would be a good thing for her. she can rent it out and take the money from there and invest or she can sell too. it's not a big ask, especially when going into the legality of the divorce."
"what do you mean?" hyungwon asks his friend slightly confused.
hyunwoo looks at nari then at hyungwon. "well, since kang is vice chairman of his company, things are getting difficult. micha works under birdie skin care. uhm i don't believe they want this to come out." he sighs. "basically i doubt that the song's will think it's wise for kang to fight the divorce so publicly, because then their might be a scandal."
