Summary:
When proposing, Gu Ningxi praised Tao Xinhe for her “perserverence and responsibility”, and on his wedding day, he vowed in public to “be one and only pair for life”.
Tao Xinhe believed it, believed it deeply, and devoted herself to being a good, virtuous wife for her faced blind husband.
Knowing that Gu Ningxi sees everyone as a tile face, she does not change her clothes or incense, and finally let him rest assured to embrace her;
She accompanies Gu Ningxi to the banquet and party, and mentions the names and origins of the guests, so that he can get rid of his arrogant name;
She accompanied Gu Ningxi while he misses his mother, endured the cold face of her grandmother, and dealt with the entanglement of her uncle and aunt, so that he would have no worries.
Yet nothing compared to that— Gu Ningxi could see Mo Qiqi’s face. In his eyes, only Mo Qiqi was vivid and pleasant, and the faces of the others were blurred.

Review:
Although the plot and story is good but I won't reread it. It really make me sleepy, each chapter is long and the conversation just going around before saying the point. Since this novel alternate the pov, I'll say FL instead of MC. FL and ML are not OP, both have their own flaw.
The summary is really misleading, it is based on FL pov. Even though ML has his own fault but he is not that scum.
FL took care and raised her sibling from 14 yo when her mother died. Her father is an official, he like to research and doesn't like to take care his children and household matter so everything is handled by FL until she is married when she was 20 yo. Later she also choose capable wife for her younger brother to take care the household. FL father only love FL mother but FL mother forced FL father to accept a concubine because she didn't give a son yet. FL father was forced, after 2nd daughter (from concubine) is born he never touch the concubine again. The concubine felt neglected so she ran away but died horribly in some years. FL father took away her corpse and buried her. The he resent FL mother who destroy their relationship and neglect the concubine so she ran away and died. FL mother thought that she is not wrong because it's normal to accept concubine when there's no son. She later gave birth to FL younger brother and sister. Until her death she still hasn't reconcile with FL father. She died in depression. On later phase, FL father said if he is braver like FL, he should divorce FL mother at least she won't die due to depression.
FL accept ML propose because ML said FL is independent individual. ML asked to have early wedding because his mother is dying. FL family dislike him because he doesn't have good reputation and face blind. FL agreed to have early wedding despite her family opposition. She then dedicate herself to help ML in everything he do.
Suddenly ML can see a face on a woman. The woman is Mo Qiqi, a village girl who only has sickly older brother. ML then get close to MQ brother, he also often peek at MQ because of his curiousness. MQ fell in love with ML and thought he plan to make her concubine. MQ brother ask ML meaning and shocked when ML said he only plan to make MQ as his adopted sister because he can she her face.
FL misunderstand ML who keep lying because of MQ. After the misunderstanding resolved, ML still got entangled with MQ family. Then MQ brother died and forced ML to promise him that ML will take MQ as his concubine. MQ also forced him because she was raped by ML cousin. MQ didn't tell ML that it was his cousin but only said his enemy rape her. At this time MQ got her memory from her past life and got a system. The system function is unknown and redundant. It just used to make reader confuse the purpose of system. ML then thought FL can accept it since he really provide MQ a shelter without touching her. FL thought ML really intend to take MQ as concubine, she then propose divorce. ML still thought that she got angry and plan to coax her once he settled the mourning of MQ brother. He got panicked when he realize that FL really mean it.
FL is really having a lot of thought, multiple chapters only describe her own thought on her feeling and matters. That's why I really got bored and skipped a lot chapters. Then a general who is impotent pursue FL because he has reaction when he saw FL on the first time. He slowly fell in love with FL. FL got confuse a lot between ML and the general.
The story goes on with ML miserable conflict and FL keep getting confuse on ML feeling. MQ entanglement really didn't help their relationship. She was portrayed as innocent and didn't have any proprietary concept but as the story goes she just like a green tea or white lotus. She got whitewash toward the end.
The strange thing is ML who said really love FL and dependence with her, but he never consult with FL on any matter hence he hastily promised MQ as his concubine.
In the end FL forgive ML and married him again. MQ went back to her hometown after she become officially ML adopted sister.
