Review:
The story is good. MC and ML are too OP. All villains are easily defeated so it feels like there's no big conflict. But several times I cried because of other characters story such as MC parent.
MC transmigrated as OFL stepsister. MC in modern time was a doctor, she learned martial arts and chinese medicine from her grandpas. Her parent died early.
She transmigrate after OMC married ML. ML has a younger brother and sister. OMC plan to sell them and use the money to buy poison and kill ML. MC throw out the poison and beat slave traders that came to the house.
OMC is the legitimate daughter of Marquis, Su family. Her mother died early. Her father remarried to his first love. The 1st love is a daughter of wet nurse. MC grandma knew she is ambitious so she sent her away and make MC father marry MC mother. After MC mother died, MC father took in the 1st love who become widow. She has a daughter which is OFL. MC was engaged to crown prince because MC mother is close to the queen. MC father switched her marriage with OFL.
OFL become crown princess while MC married ML a poor scholar. A bit weird where everyone just accept a commoner daughter as crown princess. The crown prince is not the queen actual son. The queen is from Zhao family who hold military. The emperor is wary of her so he prevent queen to have her own child. 1st child died, 2nd child was sent out. 2nd child is ML younger brother. His father died when his mother pregnant with twin. The younger brother got sick and died midway. ML mother pick up queen's son and took him as her own son.
Later the regent find them and asked them to return the son or ML become the regent adopted son. The regent want ML to support the child once he become emperor. He also the one who support switching MC and OFL marriage. Because the regent is MC mother lover before she marry MC father. Yep MC is actually the regent's daughter.
MC mother actually didn't die. She was princess from Xiliang. Xiliang is ruled by woman. Her father is Qi general. A twin should not survive in Xiliang so MC grandma sent out MC mother to Qi general aka MC grandpa.
MC mother love the regent but the queen mother at that time reject her because she has Xiliang blood and Qi family hold military power. The regent then said he'll rebel if needed to be with MC mother. Hence MC mother run away from regent and married marquis su.
MC mother fake her death and go back to Xiliang. She was forced to become queen. Her memory is wiped so she won't go back to Zhou (MC country). The regent got sick due to poison. They went to Xiliang and met MC mother. MC mother also poisoned with gu that linked with the regent.
MC saved both of them. ML found his father who become famous general in Xiliang. He married to another woman and has child. Turns out the woman tricked ML father and told that ML and his mother died. She also has affair to someone similar to ML dad so their child is similar to ML dad.
ML refuse to accept him and went back to Zhou. ML father killed the woman and chased out the fake son. He then went back to Zhou and attempt to reconcile with ML mother and younger sister. He got hurt trying to save ML mother when there's assassination. After that he went back to ML village.
About the villains, all of them died easily in 1 chapter or 1 sentence. OFL lost her crown princess title because of the rumor that she is outside concubine child. She then was deposed to cold palace. MC father the marquis su, killed by crown prince due to MC scheme. The crown prince was confined in mansion before MC went to Xiliang because he tried to kill the regent. The queen mother was killed by the regent because she tried to harm MC.
The rest of the story is a peaceful and romantic moments.
