Kai was irritated, which surprised no one since he got irritated every other day, and the reason for his irritation was the overused last name most Russian last name authors use for their fan-fiction's was, once again, used, but incorrectly, which wasn't rare.
"Why can't they just look up how it works?" Kai ranted to his oldest friends, Raven and Max, the two listening and watching as he paced his room, "Why can't they just do a quick Google search? It took me two minutes to look up how they worked! Why are they so fucking dumb?"
Raven had taken Max's hand and grabbed a pen from her pocket, drawing on the pale woman's hand, "Maybe they just really like it!" He pointed out, not looking up from Max's arm, pulling the material of her red hoodie up her arm to go further.
"I don't care!"
Max stared at the back of Raven's head as she drew, "For fuck's sake, Kai, you couldn't just be obsessed with colouring in, you had to be a Wattpad reader." She scolded him, and Raven seemed to be struggling with keeping a straight face.
"Hey!" Kai's voice cracked as he defended himself, "Wattpad has a lot of wonderful fan-fictions and books!"
Raven decided to help him a bit, "Y'know he's right, there can be some really great books on Wattpad."
"Thank you, Raven!" Raven blushed and smiled, "Your welcome, Kai!"
Kai smiled back, which got the attention of Max.
"In any way," Max changed the subject, "you are getting wayyyy too obsessed with something as small as a Russian last name."
"Am not."
"Are too." Raven corrected.
"If you were Russian, you would understand, since you aren't just hush, hush." Kai told the two just as the front door opened, it was Clam. Everyone went silent.
Clam had slowly distanced herself from the friend group, yet still, she counted them all as friends.
"Hey guys." She started, "What's up?"
Everyone was silent until Raven spoke up, "Kai was just ranting about how Russian last names are all the same or incorrect."
Kai looked down at the ground as Clam hummed, "Oh really? You know, Stasie has the same opinion as you, you two should talk, become 'besties!'"
"Yeah, maybe, I'll see."
"Well, I have to go, I was just getting my bag..."
"Where are you going?" Max asked.
"Stasie's, her roommate is being really annoying recently, and she needs support, I guess."
"Bye." Kai snapped at her as Clam took her keys and left.
The air was thick when tension, for a moment before Kai spoke up.
"Who wants to read lines with me?" Kai asked the two people still in his flat.
Raven's hand shot up as she squealed, "Me! Me, me, me, me, me!"
Max looked at Raven before looking at Kai, "I think Raven wants to. Can I watch?"
"Of course, alright, I'll get my script."
"Okay!"

Kai talked to Amara while they worked the next day, as they always did.
"So, my friends, the ones in love with each other, Raven and Max, they came over yesterday, we just kind of hung out, they brought cookies from Asda, so I had to let them in."
"Of course."
"Then I was ranting about something and Clam came in, it was really fucking awkward for no reason, then she left again, I swear she's less emotionally there than my father was after I grew up and had opinions."
Amara laughed, "Maybe, she's trying to juggle both a friendship she doesn't want and her relationship, except she lives with one of them."
"That's exactly it, I can live on my own, I was going to do it anyway, Clam was the one who wanted to move in, of course I hate that we're slowly breaking up, but it's not like I thought that kind of shit happens, I mean I've had the same two friends my entire life, I thought it would be them, not my own and only high school friend. Being an introvert is a real struggle, man."
Amara nodded, a small smile on her lips, "It is, although, one gone, one replacement for a new best friend."
"I thought your best friend was Apollo?" Kai asked, then muttering, "And, your lover too."
"Hush, hush, emo boy." Amara joked, "I tell you one thing and that's all you can remember."
"I'm just sayinnnnn'..." Kai drawled, "I have never thought I had a crush on one of my friends, and I lost my virginity to some rando asking me if I wanted a quick shag in the bathroom during graduation."
"I forgot about thattttt... It's so funny whenever I remember, though..."
"Yeah, it is, isn't it?" He laughed a little.
"You see, I'm just smart, I would've said no, leaving me a nearly thirty-year-old virgin."
"Ah, but I don't wanna die a virgin, so I said yes and had the worst bathroom sex experience in my life.
"You see, that is totally a you problem."
"It is, but I'm making it yours."
"Asshole."
"Virgin."
"That's not a bad thing when I want to be a virgin!"
"That's such a shame."
~.~
that virginity thing is something i came up with on my *looks at calendar.* nearly three month break from writing, sorry i was gone, i got on new antidepressants, and they made me depressed.
