*Noah's POV*

We eventually reached the end and walked back to the car. It was only 2 pm now, so I decided to throw the ball into her court. "I don't want today to end, and I do want to take you to dinner later, but what are your favorite things to do around here?"

She thought for a moment. "Are you opposed to drinking right now? I have somewhere cool to show you, but it involves wine."

"Fuck it, why not?" I asked with a chuckle. She put in the address and it was only 10 minutes away, and the drive was quiet and comfortable, her having her hand on my thigh, which always drives me crazy. We pulled into the place and it looked like a house that had a lot of greenery that was well-kept, and it was stunning. I was confused as to what we were walking into, but since it was in the middle of the day, it probably wouldn't be busy.

We walked in and it was definitely an intimate space, but we were definitely the only people there except for the server. We opted to sit in a room that had this gorgeous blue couch. They set down the menu and I figured out that this place was called the Grandiflora Wine Garden, which made so much sense. They had this thing where you could get a flight of three half pours of wine, so I decided to do the two red wine options and the still orange one, while she did the two still whites and the still orange. They also had an Aperitivo menu at this time of day and Sutton insisted that their hummus and their chocolate board were to die for, so we did both to hold us over until dinner.

"This place is so fucking cool," I said after the server walked away.

"Isn't it? My friends Dillon, Olivia, Callie, and I love coming here on girls nights," she answered with a smile.

"Tell me about your friends! You already know about mine," I said with a joking smile, which made her smile, and she was clearly excited to talk about them. The server came back with our flights, we thanked her, and grabbed our first glasses and took a sip before starting. The first red was so fucking good, but it's also all natural wines, so it's a lot better than the stuff I usually buy.

"Well, I've known Olivia and Callie forever, we went to school together. Olivia is an absolute spitfire; we did show choir together in high school--"

"Show choir?! Excuse me?!" I interjected.

"Yeah," she said with a chuckle. "You're not the only trained vocalist here," she joked back. "But show choir definitely brought us closer together, and Callie has just always been here. Like Callie has been such a reliable and stable friendship in my life, it's crazy. She's also super level-headed. We don't have the most in common as we get older, but we always have a great understanding of each other. Both of them have always gone to any concerts I suggest, money allowing, and they're great company to have around."

I nodded in appreciation, both of us taking another sip of wine. "It's great to have a level of respect that you can disagree on things but still love each other at the end of the day."

"For sure," she mused. "And Dillon came into my life through work. She was someone I hired that I ended up vibing with super well and also ended up liking the same music as us and started going to concerts with us more. Sometimes I wish we didn't work at the same place so that we can travel more, but I like working with her."

"Or you could do something where you can do both at the same time like me," we both laughed at that.

"I admire what you and these other bands do, but I definitely couldn't do it. I like having a home to come back to at the end of the day," she said.

"I do miss that part of it sometimes, but I absolutely love what I do. As of right now, I think the thing that would make me press pause is if I ended up having a family, but I never want to completely stop doing this," I said truthfully. The server came and dropped off the food items, and she was right, the hummus is to die for.
