ALEW RAN THROUGH THR CROWD OF PEOPLE SHE COULD FAINTLY hear the sound of two people talking. "It's strange, the power I feel. I got so much... I got so much anger." Alex finally reached the front of the commotion to see a blue man. She could see the amount of electricity rushing through him.

He was lit up like one of the Jumbotrons in the city. Peter looked at the strange man, as he began to talk. " I can see that. You don't want to be here, and you're scared. I see you don't know what's happening to you. I can see you don't want to hurt anybody." Peter turned around to see Alex standing with wide eyes.

He turned back to the blue figure. He knew he had to de-escalate the situation quickly before anyone got hurt, "This, You guys. This is my buddy, Max. I told you about Max. No one shoot at Max! You and me, okay? It's just you and me talking. Whoa, whoa." Alex watched as he tried his best to calm everyone down.

Some people were shocked, scared, or crying. When Max stepped forward, a surge of electricity ran over one of the grates, "Stay right there. Just be careful. The grate, because of the electricity." He looked down and then back up at everyone around him.

"I just...I just wanted everyone to see me." Alex squinted her eyes. His voice sounded so familiar, but she didn't couldn't understand why or how. "How about you come with me? We'll talk. Away from all these people, okay?" Peter pleaded. When Max agreed and stepped forward, shots rang out, causing everyone to gasp and scramble for cover.

Alex looked around and then at Peter. "Go! Get out of her. Go!" He yelled fiercely. When she didn't move, a patrol policeman tightly grabbed her and attempted to bring her away from the scene.

"No! Stop, let go of me!"

"Ma'am, please come with us. We need to get you out of the area." Everything was happening at once, Peter in the air trying to stop the new threat to New York. Alex was being pulled by the officer, and the sound of things crashing to the ground made every 10 times more hectic.

The office pushed her into the small barricade with a few other people. Soon everything had stopped. The police sirens ceased, and the commotion ended. When Peter swung over to her, he looked at her. He was hurt and confused. Why was she leaving?

"California? Really?" He asked blankly. Peter swung away before Alex was able to get anything out. She crossed her arms and watched him swing away. She was beyond annoyed.

"Good talk, Peter." That night when she arrived home, she wasn't in the mood to talk to anyone, not even Gwen. Everything with Peter was going wrong. She couldn't understand what. She did not want to let him go.

She loved him. Alex wanted to be with him and someday have something tangible, like a family. She looked at the letter on her desk that she was supposed to give him after graduation but never got the chance to.

She thought about giving it to him before she left for college. Maybe that letter that had all of her feelings for him written down would change his mind about them being together.

The only way she knew if anything would work between them as if they spent time apart. That's what she would do; she would carry on with her life. Alex knew she couldn't stop for him her life after high school, and what she wanted to do was more important to her.

When she got into bed that night after a long day, she found that falling asleep was no problem she hoped that where ever Peter was, he was thinking of her.
