"SO YOU'RE TELLING ME PETER IS SPIDER-MAN?" Gwen was shocked at the news. This was the third time she had to ask Alex just for clarity. Alex was busy getting to the lab to make an antidote for the city, or countless people would die.

Gwen and Alex were rushing through the chaos at Oscorp Industries. People ran for the exits while they seemed to be running toward the trouble. Alex looked around, hoping that her father wasn't in the running for his life.

When she didn't see him, she took that as a sign he had gone home early. "Here, come on!" The girls ran into the lab and shut the door. Alex began looking for the Cross-Genetics species file.

"What are you looking for?" Gwen asked as she looked around the room

"A serum Peter was talking about...Ah Ha! found it."

It was blue. This little vile was the cure to stopping Dr. Connors. Alex heard her phone ring. There was a picture of Peter that had popped up on her phone. "Hold this, Gwen."

"Hi. Where are you?" Peter's voice rang through the phone.

"I'm at Oscorp. We found the serum. What do we do now?" Alex bit at her fingernails.

"Well, right now, you both need to get out of there. Now."

"What? We can't; the antidote is cooking. We have to wait until"-

"Alex, there is no time for you two to wait. Dr. Connors is on the way. He's coming to you right now. He needs the device. He's going to infect the whole city!"

"Peter, there's eight minutes left, then the antidote is done. I'll be out of here by then." On the other end, Peter stood silently, holding his phone.

"You're going to wait eight minutes after what I told you? You leave right now. That is an order, okay?" Alex wanted to laugh as he tried to add bass to his voice, but she held back her laugh in this dire moment.

"Listen, Gwen, and I are going to ensure everyone is out of the building, okay? I'll call you back. Go be a hero." Alex hung up and turned to Gwen.

Meanwhile, Peter was still trying to get her to leave. "Alex! Alex... You mother Hubbard, are you serious right now?" There was one minute left until the antidote would be finished, suddenly, the building began to shake, and the lights flickered on and off. Gwen and Alex looked around-panic written on their face.

Gwen grabbed one of the lighters and held it up to the smoke detectors causing a gust of air to come out of all the smoke detectors. The room went into an emergency lockdown. "Hide right now! Don't let him see you." Alex whisper-shouted.

Before they could find a place to hide, one of the emergency doors was suddenly smashed open. Gwen and Alex hid in their respective spots, Alex was breathing heavily, and her heart felt like it was going a million miles per minute. She felt sweaty and desperately tried to keep her composure.

That's when she saw Dr. Connors eerily walking around the lab he had once taught Gwen and Alex in-a bag secured around his body. She could hear the low growls emitting from his mouth.

Alex could see he was going over to where Gwen was hiding out. She quickly began banging on from where she was hiding, causing him to turn around and walk towards her, he ripped open the little door, and Alex screamed like she had seen a ghost.

He grabbed a cylinder object before looking at her and slowly backing away. She was trying to catch her breath. "Jesus, Alex, are you okay?"

"Yeah," She panted. "I'm fine. We have to get out of here." Gwen and Alex ran outside. They looked around to see people standing in front of the building. Some were crying, relieved, or scared.

"Dad!"

"Mr. Stacy!" Gwen and Alex yelled. When George Stacy saw his daughter and Alex running over to him, he bolted, quickly grabbing them. "Mr. Stacy, Please, I have to get this to Spider-Man."-

"Alex, Gwen, get in the car. Alex, I'll have a patrol car take you home. Your parents must be worried sick." He urged, but Alex was fighting against trying to make him listen.

"You have to listen to me! It can stop the lizard. You have to let me go. You don't understand."

"Yes, I do, Alex. Your boyfriend has many masks, but I must get you home to your parents. I promise I get it. Give me this." He took the blue serum out of her hands and looked at her.

"Please, get in the car. I don't want more casualties tonight. Gwen, honey, please get in the car with her." Gwen nodded, leading her friend to the car. Alex's eyes were bloodshot and teary.

As much as she didn't want to, she moved towards the car. "Please...Please, make sure he's okay." Her voice cracked as she spoke to him.

He gave her a firm nod before walking away. Alex and Gwen sat in the patrol car and waited. Peter and Dr. Connors, we're up on the Oscorp Industries roof-Dr. Connors was choking Peter with his tail. The boy's face turned a nasty shade of purple and blue.

"Poor Peter Parker. No mother, no father... no uncle. All alone." As Peter's breathing began to fade out, he could make out one voice in the distance. "He's not alone."

Detonation in T-munis 45 seconds. George Stacy fired his gun at the reptile, causing him to drop Peter. He began to gasp for air. When he looked up, he saw Gwens' father fighting off the beast himself

Peter did a few flips and made his way over to the caption, "Hey! Gift from Alex and Gwen." He yelled over the gunfire as he tossed Peter the blue serum.

Peter watched as he continued to shoot at Dr. Conners. "I've got this, Peter. Go!" Without thinking, he ran up to the top of the Oscorps antenna, taking out Dr. Connor's serum and replacing it with the antidote.

One. Peter looked up to see the antidote spreading throughout the city. He let out a breath he didn't know he was holding. He was relieved that nobody was going to die. Everyone was safe.

"The captain." He mumbled to me. When Peter returned to the ground, he found George Stacy on the ground, bloody and barely clinging to life.

Just when he thought he had saved everyone, he was wrong.
