I park in front of DJ's house, and he comes outside and up to the window, "Hey Denna, oh and Ryder and Parker" DJ nods at them. "Hey what's wrong," he asks me "Oh. It's nothing" I shake my head, "Hey Ryder what happened," he asks "Um. These high schoolers were messing with me and Parker" Ryder answers him "Did they mess with you too" DJ asks me.
"No. I....I warned them to stay away. But I'll let you know if anything changes" I nod and he huffs and nods "Oh here you are" I say unzipping my backpack and handing him the laptop. "Oh thanks and here you are," he says handing me two phones. "These are the best I could do at short notice" he nods and I smile "They're great thank you so much DJ," I say and he nods.
"I put my number in there if they ever can't reach you," he says and I nod "Awesome thanks DJ" I smile and he goes inside. "Okay, you two how about I show you another cool place," I ask and they look at each other "What about school," Ryder asks, "Parker hasn't talked this whole way and both of your eyes are red, I can tell you're having a hard time already, so let's take a break and you can go back tomorrow," I say and they both nod with a little smile. I stop at a corner store and grab some snacks and drinks then go to the abandoned park that I and Dante used to go to.
"Hey, Adenna how did Dante know about these spots," Parker asks "Oh well when we were younger me and Dante didn't like being home because we found it boring so we would go around looking for cool spots to get away. And Dante always found the best ones" I smile, "He always had a great eye for finding hidden gems" I whisper and hold the necklace in my hand. "That's funny. That's how he described you to mom" Ryder chuckles. I smile and nod "I think it was him that was the hidden gem not me" I smile and for a while, we lay there and talk.
After a while we decide that it's time to go back home, I give them both the phones and we move the big bed downstairs getting ready for later on. "Okay, you two don't forget to get changed," I say and they both nod and head upstairs. I look at my phone hoping to see a message from DJ but I got nothing. I sit back down and take a deep breath, "Are you feeling okay" I hear and I pick my head up. "Oh Ryder I didn't see you there," I say shaking my head. "Um. Yeah I'm okay" I smile "Are you sure because me and Parker have been hearing you throw up," he says and Parker slowly comes downstairs.
"Um....Okay....you two sit down" I say motioning in front of me, they both quickly sit and look at me attentively. "I...You....No one but DJ knows....but I'm pregnant...and the two of you will be their uncle" I say and they looked at me shocked, I am about to say something and they both hug me. "That's wonderful," Parker says and I smile "But you guys can't tell anyone until I'm ready," I say "We won't tell anyone" Ryder shakes his head and Parker nods enthusiastically.
"Thanks, guys" I smile and hug them tightly, "So if you hear me throwing up you know why" I smile and they both nod. For the remainder of the day, the boys get caught up on their work and I go around cleaning the house.
