I am about three hours away from the city, and finally, arrive at the ranch I put in the pin code that Trent gave me and slowly start driving up, as he instructed in his note, I park about halfway from the house and get out. I put both of my hands up and slowly approach the house when I am at the porch I slowly put my hands down and knock three times and then ring the doorbell.
“Mr. Tipson it's Adenna Rose,” I say loudly and then the front porch light flips on. The door opens and Mr. Tipson greets me with a smile, “Little Adenna Rose, thank you for following my instructions” he smiles “Your welcome Mr. Tipson, Trent explained that after someone comes back from something dangerous like I just did to do that and if I am ever not alone to put my thumb on my palm” I nod “Did he tell you what to do if you did have someone and we're in danger” he asks
“Um. No sir” I chuckle “Oh that boy never listens” he shakes his head. “So what you would do is thumb to palm and then that'll tell me your not alone, but if you're in danger then you'll put all your fingers down and then back up again, which then I will take the measures to get you safe,” he says demonstrating with his hands. “Come on darling you get in the house I am going to cover your car from any snoopers,” he says grabbing a tarp and moving out of my way.
“Thank you, Mr. Tipson” I smile and walk inside, and of course, his house is beautiful and big, It just screams dream house. “Wow,” I say admiring the house “Oh you like the house,” Mr. Tipson asks coming inside. “Yes. It's very…very beautiful” I say trying to find the right word. “Well thank you this is the type of house that my Diana always wanted I promised her that I would get it and keep the people we hold closest safe” he smiles “I'm sure she's very happy that you made it come true” I place a hand on his shoulder. “Come on darling it's late already, you can say hello to her tomorrow, Trent set up your room for you,” he says heading upstairs. I follow closely behind him.
“This one is Trent's room for when he comes, mine is downstairs” he says as we pass the first room upstairs, we walk down the hall and turn. “This one is yours,” he says placing his hand on the door “This one connects to yours but it is being fixed up right now so make sure to steer clear from that one,” he says and I nod, “Oh, the bathroom is downstairs to the left, and there is another one in your room but it's only half,” he says and I nod “Thank you Mr. Tipson” I smile “You're welcome darling now you get some sleep” he smiles, I nod and go in my room and it's absolutely beautiful. There are lights around the room giving it a homey feeling and the bed is below a window, it's just perfect.
“Wow,” I whisper and lay down on the bed “Gosh it's so comfy” I smile rolling in the blankets. I am under the window and my breath is taken away by the stars outside it's just perfect. I take a deep breath thinking about an old memory.
~Flashback~
“FINE THEN WHATEVER” I yell and hang up the phone “AHHH” I scream and throw my phone across the room, and tears start streaming down my face, I curl in a ball and start crying, “HEY” I look up and see Dante franticly waving his arms to get my attention, I sniffle and wipe my eyes, I get up and go to the window, opening it. “Meet me outside I want to show you something cool” he smiles I nod slightly and close the window, I grab my jacket and rush downstairs, I go outside and look around for Dante “Hey over here” he waves me next to his garage. I walk over to him, “Check this out” he smiles I look and see a beautiful blue motorcycle
“Woah that's beautiful who's is it” I ask and a wide smile goes on his face “It's mine DJ's been fixing it up” he says “Come on let's go for a ride” he says and I laugh “What there is no way I'm getting on that death trap with you” I chuckle “Oh come on I know what I'm doing, come on Dee trust me” he reaches his hand out to me “Mmm….” I look back at the house “You know what okay. I trust you more than myself” I smile and grab his hand. He gives me a helmet and gets on the bike “Okay hold on doll” he smirks and I smile feeling nervous.
We zoom off and I immediately grip onto him, it's so scary and awesome at the same time, I slowly start to lift my head and he is laser-focused on the road so I feel comfortable enough to look around. After an hour or so we stop, I get off trying not to fall, “Where are we” I ask taking the helmet off, “It's another place I discovered” he smiles getting off the bike.
“Come on” he grabs my hand and leads the way it's an old abandoned building, “Now I'm not sure what this place was but the roof has something amazing I want to show you,” he says, we walk through the halls until we find stairs leading to the roof. “Okay. Close your eyes” he stops at the door. “What why,” I ask “Trust me,” he says and I close my eyes
“Okay I'm going to grab your hand. I won't let you fall,” he says and gently grabs my hand. I can feel him leading me outside and he gently sits me down. “Tilt your head up,” he says and I do so, “Okay. Open your eyes,” he says and I see a beautiful sky full of stars “Woah….it's magnificent” I whisper.”
~End of flashback~
“Simply magnificent” I whisper as sleep slowly takes over me.
