After a couple of days I am finally able to take the twins back to the ranch, “Okay are we sure that we have everything” DJ says looking around the room, “Yes Dj” I chuckle, “You know I really love this twin stroller you got me makes everything so much easier” I smile looking at the twins. “Mhm mhm,” he says still looking around the room, “David Jay we have everything” I laugh when he jumps up suddenly
“Ah ha see,” he says holding a scrunchie in the air “Okay. Now we have everything,” he says and I roll my eyes. “Hey don't be mad just because I was right” he chuckles “Yeah. Yeah, whatever comes on” I laugh, we go in the elevator and start going down the elevator stops and we watch as a couple come in, I look up from the twins and see something that catches my eye, “What's that?” I ask and without thinking I step out of the elevator.
“Adenna” DJ calls to me as the elevator doors shut, I look around and see the same thing that caught my eye turn the corner. I run to the corner trying to catch up, I look down the hall and no one is there. I peer into the room one by one trying to find what I saw, “Excuse me mam can I help you” I hear someone ask before I'm about to go into the last room “Oh. Um no I'm sorry I was just popping in on someone” I say shaking my head “Oh do you know this patient” she asks surprised.
“Hm oh they just, looked familiar, why” I ask “Oh well they just recently woken up from a long comma, the poor soul can barely remember anything” she says sadly, “Oh. Really, maybe I was wrong” I say shaking my head. “Well you can go in and see if it's them and if it's not I'll be right down the hall to help you,” she says with a smile. I slowly step into the room, and for some reason, my ears are burning, I pop my head around the small corner and my heart stops, my breath hitches, and my brain just can't compute what it's seeing.
“Adenna” I feel someone say my name and grab my hand, I look up and see DJ, “What is….what's wrong,” he asks “I…I..” I can't seem to get a word out “Excuse me can I help you” a voice says behind me sending shivers down my back and DJ's eyes widen and I can see his hands shaking, “Excuse me” a doctor says behind DJ, “Oh doc I think these people might be lost” he says behind me. “Oh, well I can help them then” he nods, “Mam if you'll just follow me,” he says but I can't move, I need to know what I saw is real, that I am not crazy. I take a deep breath and turn around.
“Oh. You scared me there Adenna” he chuckles and I gasp. “Wait you remember her,” the doctor asks, “Woah” he stumbles back holding his head, I reach out and the doctor stops me “Oh hold on,” he says “I….I don't understand” I shake my head “DJ,” I ask and he is on the floor slumped over crying, the twins are asleep. I look back to the doctor, “Sir. Can you tell me your name” he asks
“My…My name?” He asks “Yes sir” he nods paging a nurse “My name? My name is Dante Grey,” he says and looks at me, “She is Adenna Rose, and he is DJ,” he says chuckling “Oh my gosh doc I can remember,” he says shaking him “Sir you paged” the nurse that was in the hallway comes in, “Nurse. Nurse I remember” Dante says with a big smile. “She made me remember” he smiles and points at me, just then my legs give out.
“Woah be careful doll” he catches me, and with that dumb nickname name my tears come flooding out, I grab onto him and I cry and cry, I hold him tightly not wanting to let go. And then I cry some more when I feel another body-hugging us, “DJ. Is this real” I ask between hics and sniffles “It's real” he cry's “Why are you two crying” he asks “I….We thought he killed you” I sob, “we thought you were dead” DJ cries. “Guys..guys it's okay…I'm here” he says, holding onto us.
After a little bit we calm down, and let the doctor do his job while we wait outside the room trying to process what just happened. “DJ?” I ask “Mhm” he grunts “What…What are we going to do” I ask “Uhhh….We…are…ummm” he closes his eyes “We are going to see what the doctor says because I don't know” he shakes his head. I get off the ground and look at the twins still sleeping, “Excuse me” the doctor says and DJ gets up “For the most part it seems he's regained his memory, but we are going to keep him here overnight for observation” the doctor says and we both nod
“Oh and he requested to talk to you two alone” the doctor says and we nod again. “Um. I…I…The twins” I say and DJ nods “Okay. How about this…we can have the twins by the door until you're ready to tell him, for now, I can talk to him” he says “Um. Okay I…I'll be there in a bit” I say and he nods. I look at the twins and Miku is moving around, she slowly opens her eyes, and looks around, she starts getting fussy I bend down and tickle her stomach
“What's wrong momma's did you go potty” I ask picking her up. I check her diaper and sure enough, she used did, I find the bathroom and quickly go to get her changed. “Mmmm” I look down and see Dante Jr. moving, “oh I think brother needs a change too” I whisper to Miku. I carefully put her back in her car seat and give her a small toy. “Hey buddy” I look at Dante Jr. who's getting fussy
“Oh I know baby,” I say grabbing him, “Oh my beautiful little boy” I smile grabbing a diaper. I get him changed and throw away the diapers “Okay you two I think it's time to meet daddy” I say placing Dante Jr. back in his seat, and placing a small toy next to him.
