Meeting with the capitain

“Hello, I was wondering if I could speak to your Capitan,” I ask the lady at the front desk, “Oh I'm sorry mam but our captain is busy at the moment but one of our officers would be more than willing to help,” she says in a sweet voice. “It's okay we'll wait until the captain isn't busy thank you,” DJ says grabbing my hand and sitting down. A couple of minutes go by and we are still waiting, “Mam are you sure you don't want to talk to an officer ”the lady at the front desk asks.

“No mam I want to talk to the captain directly it is very important” I say and she gives me a small smile and nods “I'll let him know you're waiting” she adds. A couple of more minutes go by and we're still waiting, “Hernandez have you gotten any updates for Dante's case” I hear a familiar voice ask. I look up and see my mom standing a few feet away I grab DJ's arm rapidly patting him. “Okay okay,” he says grabbing my hand, he pulls me up and we go back to the desk “Hello I'm sorry mam. I hate to tell you what to do but my friend needs to see your captain it is very urgent and time sensitive so please if there is any way he could take her for just a few minutes we would be so grateful” DJ says and the woman chuckles nervously.

“Okay I'll see what I can do,” she says getting out of her chair and going to the captain's office “Stay behind me out of sight and put your hat and glasses back on,” DJ says and I nod doing what he says. I stay by him with my head down waiting for the woman to come back. “DJ?” I hear my mom call him “Oh hello officer Rose” DJ says blocking me from view. “What are you doing here,” she asks “One of my friends is talking to someone I am just waiting for them,” he says and just then I see the woman come back “Hello mam he can see you now,” the woman says to me “I'll take you to him,” she says and I follow her being sure to keep my head down.

“Captain this is the woman who wanted to talk to you,” the woman says and I take off my glasses and hat. “Thank you, Jennifer,” he says with a warm smile, “Mam please sit down I heard you had urgent business with me,” he says and I don't move from the closed door“Um yes sir but would you mind closing the blinds this is very important,” I say and he tilts his head “Okay then” he gets up and closes the blinds “Okay mam please sit,” he says and I do so. “Thank you, sir. Um….are you familiar with the red river killer” I ask and he nods intrigued. “I am his daughter…..but I am also one of your officer's daughters” I say and he looks surprised, “Um…you see my father has been stalking me for quite some time now. And…..and today I went to confront him on the murder of my friend his name is Dante Grey” I say taking a deep breath.

“The young man who has been all over the news right” he asks and I nod. “You see when I had gotten away from my father a little while ago he sent me a way if I ever wanted to contact him….to go to the hiking trail where he buried his victims….today I went there and he told me everything….the murders, my friend and most importantly that he wasn't the true mastermind behind it” I say and his eyes widen “You see he…he told me that my mother is behind everything….her name is Officer Rose, Amanda Rose” I say and his eyes widen more “Mam do you have any evidence for this accusation. Officer Rose is one of my best I need evidence of this” he says shaking his head.

“Would my father saying all of this on recording do?” I ask “Yes mam but-” I slam my phone on his desk “Here. It's the recording of our entire conversation” I say sliding the phone over to him. After he listens to it he takes a deep breath. “Okay. I've heard enough. Your mother will be detained and I will be contacting internal affairs to deal with this, but more importantly the red river killer” he says crossing his arms “Could you contact him again” he asks and I feel a chill run down my spine “Sir. I would like you to promise me one thing if I am to do this” I say “And what would that be?” he asks.

“I want to insure the protection of me and my baby” I sigh and he nods “I am not going to be able to contact him for months it's just the way he works. By then I'll be close to three months pregnant so I want your men hidden making sure nothing happens to at least my baby” I say sternly. “I can do that,” he says reaching his hand out, I shake his hand and we both get up, “now before I go make the arrest is there anything else I need to know,” he asks “well there is one thing. I was concerned for my safety so I put listening devices in our house. I haven't listened to what she says on them” I say and he nods “Okay then I will make the arrest first and I'll need you to stay here and I'll complete my report” he says and I nod.

He opens the door and I follow him outside, “STOP RESISTING” I hear someone yell I look in the direction and see DJ being held to the ground by my mom “Miss Rose get off I didn't do anything” DJ says struggling. “What the hell mom get off of him,” I say trying to pull her off, “OFFICER ROSE” the Captain's voice booms “Sir” she looks at him getting off of DJ who's in cuffs on the floor. “Give me the keys to your handcuffs,” he says reaching his hands out, “But sir he threatened me,” she says holding the keys.

“All I said is that I'm not afraid of you and karma will get you” DJ barks, I help stand him up. “Now Rose.” He demands and she huffs giving him her keys, the captain unlocks the handcuffs and removes them from DJ. “Amanda Rose you are under arrest for being an accomplice to murder-” “What,” my mom says shocked. The captain continues as he puts the cuffs on and he walks her away, “This is bullshit I have done nothing” she struggles trying to get away. “DJ are you okay,” I ask shifting my attention to him, “I'm fine Adenna really, you did a wonderful job” he pats my head “Thank you but I need a favor I need you to gather any of the recordings and have them ready for us to turn in,” I say and he nods “Okay I'll get Trent on it immediately,” he says pulling out his phone.
