“Ugh” I groan my body hurting “Get the doctor” I hear someone say, I open my eyes blinded by bright lights. “Ugh, where am I” I mutter opening my eyes again, “Miss Rose can you hear me” I look around and see my doctor “Doctor Wyatt?” I ask “Yes Miss Rose your friend brought you in. It seems you fainted,” he says checking me. “I fainted?” I ask confused, “Yes he told me that you've been having a lot of stress lately. It seems it caught up with your body since you haven't been eating regularly” the doctor shakes his head.
“Oh….Right I'm sorry doctor” I say lowly, “It's okay. I am going to keep you for a little bit to make sure everything is okay we all make mistakes what matters is that you fix it,” he says “Okay I'll let your friend know that your awake,” he says closing his chart. “Thank you, doctor,” I say looking down feeling so ashamed, “Damn it Adenna” I grip the blanket crying, “Let me see” I look up and see Trent and DJ stuck in the doorway, “You dumb ass go” DJ pushes Trent forward “Hey Adenna are you okay,” DJ asks coming up to me.
“Hey guys. Yeah, I'm okay I'm sorry to worry you guys” I sniffle. “Hey it's okay don't cry, we're not mad you just gave us a scare all of us,” Trent says “All?” I ask “Oh yeah Amy and the boys are on their way right now” Trent nods, plus I want everyone to be here because I may have a solution for you,” he says and I look at him confused “Oh before I forget the captain said that he has hard-hitting evidence against your mom on the devices she will spend years in prison” DJ says and I nod.
“Wow really….That's good then” I say. *Knock knock* the door opens and the boys come rushing in, “Adenna are you okay” they both say running up to me “Oh guys yes I'm okay. The doctor said it's stress and I'm not eating enough” I say and they look a little less worried. “So you're going to be okay,” Parker asks “Yes I'm going to be just fine” I nod. “Oh that's right Trent you wanted to tell us something,” I say and look over at Trent
“Oh yes. So since you are going to move after your father, I decided that it'd be best if you were for sure safe so… I called my dad and he said that he'd love to have you on the ranch it's practically impenetrable, I let him know the situation and he says that he wants you to stay safe, but he does only have a few rules and if you're up to it you have to stay, no one can know where he is so….you can't have contact with us until it is safe for you to come back” he says and I look around “What you didn't say anything about her not being able to contact us” DJ explodes
“It's up to her DJ not us she deserves to be safe and keep her baby safe and if that means she won't be able to talk to us until her psychotic parents are put away then I am willing to wait that long” Trent snaps back at DJ, they start going back and forth but I feel someone grab my hand “We think that if you're safe you should do it because we love you and wouldn't want anything to happen to you” Ryder says as Parker holds my hand “Yes Honey do what you think is right” Amy places her hand on my shoulder.
“I am going to stay with your dad,” I say and the boys stop bickering the room goes silent, “I don't want to leave. Honestly. But I don't want you guys to get hurt, and I have to protect my baby” I place my hand on my stomach “I owe it to Dante to make sure nothing happens to our baby. I love you all so much but this is the best option” I say tears welling in my eyes.
“Guys….can I talk to Adenna for a second,” DJ asks and everyone starts clearing out, DJ sits at the end of the bed “I….I know you being safe is the top priority so I won't try to convince you to stay but… I want you to promise me that no matter what happens to us you will always be sure to take care of yourself and the baby” he says avoiding eye contact. “DJ I promise I will come back once I know that he is gone. I will not stay there forever I am coming back” I grab his hand
“I am not leaving you and you are not leaving me. We're stuck together. The four lucky clovers right” I say and he grabs my hand “Yeah the four lucky clovers….Damn it feels like I just got you back and you're leaving” he chuckles trying to hide the tears in his eyes. “Yeah….It kind of does feel like that. But I am coming back” I nod and he smiles “Good. I mean after all your kid needs to meet his uncle's” he chuckles.
“Yeah. The twins seem excited” I say “Hey I meant me and Trent” he hits my leg “Well he'd be meeting their uncle and godfather I chuckle making him stop. “What. You’re going to put Trent as the godfather” he asks and I burst out laughing “Oh….oh I'm so sorry….No, nothing against Trent but I want you to be the godfather” I laugh. “What really,” he asks shocked “Yeah I can't think of anyone better than you, I hope nothing happens to me but if it does I wouldn't want them to be with anyone else” I smile. “Wow….thank you Adenna” he smiles as tears start streaming down, “Aww DJ” I hug him, “Thank you” he whispers holding onto me. “Okay you need to rest lay down” he smiles laying me down.
