I know you are polished...I know you are careful. I know you make promises without so much as uttering a word. That is all I need to know. And I can not trust that your brother isn't the same

—— IT'D BEEN JUST A COUPLE OF DAYS SINCE THE BALL, where Kaarina was very clear about her intentions of the Princes of Asgard. She wanted absolutely nothing to do with them.

Which obviously upset her parents very much — especially her father. He'd yell and scream while she was stern with her words, projecting how much she truly did not want to marry Prince Thor. Nor did she want to see him or his brother again.

Kaelan was not happy with his eldest daughter. He usually wasn't, Kaarina being the only one who fought him and her mother over everything. But he was most unhappiest with her right then. He had worked very hard to try and make his daughter a Princess. A Queen. And look how ungrateful she was being.

Every single day since the ball had been screaming matches between Kaarina and Kaelan, while Astrid and Rune were forced to endure it. It obviously wasn't proper or polite for a lady to argue back to her father or brother — but Kaarina refused to do this thing asked of her. She would not do it. But just as her mother and sister, she was tired of the fighting.

Tired of falling asleep crying because the arguing was overwhelming her...

So on a beautiful and bright morning, Kaarina strutted down the stairs with a parchment in her hand — full of different names on the list. She spent an hour writing out eligible gentlemen's names across the realm for her father to go over. She was quite proud of it actually, coming up with another solution. Though it wasn't what her parents wanted, it was at least something.

Kaarina strolled into the large dining room, her beautiful blue dress soaring behind as she went. She parked once inside the room, finding her family members about to eat breakfast. But when they looked over at her, the usual, angry, stern expression had turned into a gleaming and determined one.

"Good morning, Rina," Rune awkwardly said, while her sister and father were having a stern staring contest.

"Kaarina," Kaelan muttered after a long moment of silence.

"Papa," Kaarina smiled, fumbling with the piece of parchment in her hand.

"What is that?" Her father asked, clearly knowing she wanted him to know.

"A list of eligible men in the realm," Kaarina told him, strutting over to him.

Though he looked and was angry, Kaelan took the parchment, looking over the names while Kaarina stood tall and proud, "If I am to marry for this family, I will do my duty — but it will not be to a Prince..."
