——— BLOOD RUNS ———
❝ You are the very air I breathe. You're the blood rushing in my veins. You are the reason my heart continues beating — I cannot...imagine my life without you, and...I wish not to be parted from you from this day on ❞
——— THE MORNING SUN glistened into the room the next morning, which had eventually woken Loki up. When he opened his eyes, he immediately stiffened to feel Kaarina in his arms, her back against his bare chest.
As the memories from the night clouded his mind, he smiled to himself, watching her breathe in and out — still sound asleep. She looked so peaceful, like a perfect angel. He wouldn't dare ruin it by accidentally waking her up.
He fiddled with her brown hair a bit as a thought suddenly came over him. He wanted every morning to be like this — forever.
Very slowly, he pulled himself out from under her bare body and quietly threw on some clothes before he left the chamber, leaving her to sleep. But he was on a mission.
Walking down the halls of the Palace, going to go check on Triston, Prince Thor had abruptly stopped when he passed by a room — hearing loud commotion.
He cautiously stepped inside to realize it was the jewelry room, full of all kinds of rings, earrings, necklaces and crowns for the Queen. And to his surprise, he found Loki in there, rummaging about, like he was searching for something. "Loki?" Thor questioned and his brother straightened up, looking at him. Frozen. "What are you doing?"
"I am...looking for something," Loki said as he continued on his search.
"What?" Thor asked.
"A ring," his brother told him.
"What for?" Thor asked and Loki was silent again.
After a moment of quiet, Loki faced his brother, "I'm going to ask Kaarina to marry me," he said.
And Thor stared at him shocked. Completely and utterly shocked. His mind scattered.
"What?" And Loki almost rolled his eyes, continuing to look around for a ring. But not just any ring, a perfect one, "I'm sorry...you're doing what? Loki, look at me—"
"We spent the night together," Loki told his brother, who stared at him stunned, "And I woke up with her, in my arms, and I don't wanna let that go. I can't let that go—"
"What about father?" Thor asked, watching his brother not paying attention to him. Watching him still making a horrid mess to his mother's room of jewels, "What will he have to say—?"
"Thor—!" Loki annoyingly snapped, facing his brother urgently, "I genuinely do not care what father or anyone else has to say. I will not loose her. She's everything to me."
