——— STORMING TOWARDS HER BED CHAMBERS, almost to the point of hyperventilating from the events that transpired, Kaarina was constantly wiping her tears away, while the tears still continued to flow. She shook heavily, feeling stuck in a corner. What was she supposed to do?
"Kaarina!"
She recognized that awful voice all too well. She turned back just for a small scream to leave her lips when Kaelan harshly took hold of her arms. Squeezing them. It was like she completely shut down. Her body tensed up, her eyes dilating as she stared up at her angered father. Flinching every time he yelled at her.
"...you go back in there and you tell them everything you said—"
"Let...me...go—!"
"—was a lie! You tell them you lied, right now, or so help me—!"
"No," Kaarina sternly said, her entire body shaking as he stared at her baffled, "I—" but a gasp left her when she felt a stinging sensation hit her cheek. Her hand slowly touched her redden cheek, tears welling in her eyes as she glanced at her father.
Running down the halls towards them, Prince Loki practically zoomed towards them when he saw Kaelan slap Kaarina. The girl held in a gasp, stumbling back when Loki grabbed the father, slamming him into a nearby wall.
"Don't you ever touch her again!" Loki spit in rage as Kaarina's eyes widened, "If I catch you come near this Palace, try to come around Kaarina again, even look her way — I will kill you. And isn't a threat, that's a promise."
"Your Highness!" Kaarina exclaimed, strutting up behind him. But he was so entrapped in anger, he didn't even think to acknowledge her.
Kaelan whimpered against the wall as Loki's grip only grew, "Do you understand?"
"Prince Loki!"
"Do you?!"
"I understand."
Right when Loki let Kaelan go, Prince Thor and The Einherjar ran through the hallway. Thor quickly stepped in, grabbing hold of Kaelan's shoulder, glaring into him before he shoved him towards the The Einherjar.
Breathing heavily, Loki watched the sorry excuse of a man be escorted out, continuing to feel rage. That is until Kaarina gently took his arm, "Loki..." she said and he finally looked at her. Seeing her tear stained face, with her brows furrowed in terror...the rage simply withered away.
"Kaarina," he whispered, reaching for her to wipe the tears away. But she backed away from his touch, causing his brows to knit together, "My Lady..."
"You lied to me," she softly said as Thor turned back to her, "You both did."
