𝐏𝐀𝐈𝐍𝐅𝐔𝐋 𝐌𝐄𝐌𝐎𝐑𝐈𝐄𝐒——— THE NEXT DAY, several soldiers under Loki's mind control ran around in an underground lab, preparing to infiltrate whatever Loki and Lidianna had planned. Lidianna strolled about, making sure everyone was doing what needed to be done while Loki watched her from a distance, sitting down. He watched as she walked up to Erik, who was working on a CMS device until he fluttered his eyes close. He breathed heavily as his mind reached back into a memory.
Laughter. Such a sweet sound to his ears.
"You wore the necklace."
"I wore the necklace."
Walking into the ballroom on Asgard was Lady Kaarina Kaelansdottir in a gorgeous blue dress, with a lapis lazuli pendant dangling from her neck.
Across the room, present Loki stared frozen, his normal blue eyes glimmering in shock, yet angst. He'd forgotten how beautiful she was. He was always mesmerized by her.
That necklace she wore...was a message to let him know she felt the same way he did. And just as those years ago, Loki's heart thumped.
Trailing behind her was Lady Rune, Viscountess Lidia, and Viscount Asmund. Loki watched her intently as she leaned against a nearby railing, a long frown on her.
Some moments later, Kaarina took her brother's arm and they walked down the stairs together. Loki remembered this night so well. Everyone had found out about Loki and Kaarina's affections for each other and were told to stay away from one another. But they could not. It was like the universe was pulling them together.
Soon enough, Fandral approached Kaarina and Asmund, offering his hand for the Lady, which would've made Loki raging jealous, but he knew it was part of Thor's plan so that Loki and Kaarina could see each other. A plan his mother was apart of.
Fandral walked Kaarina out onto the dance floor as Loki stepped onto the floor with Rune, but could not keep his eyes off his deceased wife.
Lively music began to play, insinuating the dance. It was very face paced, almost jumping around. Out from nowhere, Fandral grabbed Kaarina's hand and spun her around, causing the both of them to chuckle. But Loki closed his eyes for a moment, her sweet laugh echoing in his mind.
When the partners changed, Fandral spun Kaarina around towards Thor while the Prince spun Sif towards his friend. As Thor caught Kaarina mid spin, the girl chuckled again, him joining her.
