Chapter 1: Where Are We Going?

We are fanilly onto the first chapter! I'm so excited!

Leo's POV

The muddy trails of the woods were unbearable. The roots sticked upwards like they were trying to grow trees themselves. The rocks were also a problem. They would move and fall out of place when you stepped on them.

"We could've taken the horses," a grumpy and annoyed voice said behind me.

"But they would've noticed," I pointed out.

My name is Leo. I bet you're wondering why the great prince of The Scorch Kingdom is doing out in the middle of the woods? No? Then I'll explain.

I would be the second oldest and second heir to the throne if that makes sense. And right now me and my partner in crime are running away!

"We aren't going to run away if that what's your thinking," Scorpio said, putting a hand on my shoulder.

Scorpio would also be second heir to the throne just like me. He's from Cascade Kingdom. The closet kingdom to mine.

Scorpio and I have been best friends since we were babies and our dads or should I say kings, were also friends back when they were young. Actually, Scorpio more of call himself, "Leo's Companion who keeps him out of trouble."

"Were you reading my mind again?" I ask him while smirking.

Scorpio doesn't anwser but slightly nods.

We walk for more miles until we reach out destination.

Coal Town was located not that far from my castle. Maybe a 1 hour and a half ride.

We push a few fried up ferns out of the way and make our way towards the town.

Once we get right to the edge of the town, we put up our hoods of our cloaks and walk through the town.

It's best to wear cloaks with hoods when royalty goes through a town, village, or kingdom so peasents can't see their faces.

Scorpio and I walk more in the shadows of the sidewalks we walk on.

The roads and sidewalks are crowded with people, wagons, and carriges. Even a few animals like dogs and cats wonder around.

We fanilly get to the place we're looking for and walk inside. It was some kind of party place my guess was. We walked to counter where a girl was. Her back was towards us so we couldn't see her face.

The place looked like what peasents call a bar or nightclub or tavern or saloon or maybe-

"Leo," Scorpio whispered to me.

"What?" I asked him.

Scorpio tilted his head and his eyes were looking up. I looked at him as if he had grown five heads.

He sighed than started tilt his head to the side, going forward.

He repeated that for a while until I knew what he meant. I violently shook my head and shaking my hands uncontrollably.

Scorpio glared at me then started coughing. My eyes widened with shook. What was he doing!?

Then the girl who was standing in front of us with her back towards us turned around. My eyes almost fell out of my head. She was, she was, she was...

"Yes?"

She was utterly... um... what's a kinder word for... I felt a nudge in my arm.

I looked at Scorpio and saw that he doing the same as before. I knew it was my time.

"Um, we would, would li- like two Dragon Tail Smoothies," I said kind of stuttering, trying to mantain eye contact.

"Coming right up," She? They said in their deep, manly, and... scratchy voice.

When they left, me and Scorpio looked at each other with nervousness in our eyes.

"What's your name." Scorpio asked them when they came back.

"Sandra," Sandra said who voice was now more squeaker and quieter.

The smoothies were suprisingly good. The drinks back at my home were nothing compared to this. It just so good!

When we were done, we told Sandra goodbye and they waved goodbye and I swear their hair was falling off like it was a wig.

As soon as Scorpio and I were out of the town and were on the path we came from, we bursted out laughing.

"I thoguht I knew you better," Scorpio exclaimed slapping me on the arm.

I shrugged.

We laughed our heads off more about 45 minutes until we calmed down.

The walk back to my kingdom was silent and it was perfect. The silence I needed.

(Time skip)

After a long time of walking and mynfeet burning, Scorpio and I fanilly reached my castle. Gaurds pushed open the doors for us and we walked inside.

The entrance of the castle was mostly covered in gold, silver, and stone. I was secretly inpressed with it even though I never showed it.

"Where were you?" A demanding voice came from down the hall.

I turned around to see my bigger sister Mia walking around the corner.

I stared daggers at her.

"Don't give me that look," she complained, "you and you're boyfriend were off again, weren't you?"

I felt my cheek flush. "N-no! He's not my boyfriend!" I agrue.

Mia only smirks at me and crosses her arms, "oh, really? Prove it."

Before I could say something, my da- the king stepped out from behind Mia.

"Give the young lads a rest, Mia," King Alexander said.

Scorpio right away bowed to him while I gave the grumpy king a look. The glare... dun dun duuuuuuuun!

"Come my children and Scorpio, we have something discuss."

The first chapter is done! Yay!
