"Nuh uh! Klaroline's way better than Steroline!" Cassie protested as both her and Em walked to the lacross field.
"No way, it's so clear that Caroline was just using Klaus and never felt the same way for him," Em argued.
"No she did love him back, she just didn't want to admit it since he was a villain. Did you even watch the scene in the woods?"
"I'm just saying, Caroline was way happier with Stefan!"
"Can't argue with that, but Klaus and Caroline had even more chemistry than Delena."
"Uh uh," she gasped offendedly. "No one had more chemistry than Delena."
"Hmm, let's see. Stelena, Bamon, Benzo, Carenzo, Klaroline, Damon and Rose. Shall I go on?"
"Um, back up. Did you just say Carenzo?"
"Yes, yes I did," she replied proudly. "Come on, in that scene when she was crying and he saw her and beat Stefan up for her, you cannot tell me he would do that for just anyone."
"Haha, you're crazy. Literally psychotic. Bonnie and Enzo belong together."
"Yeah they were really cute, and had good chemistry in season 6. But I don't know, they just seemed kind of rushed, just like Steroline."
"Steroline is amazing!"
"Oh please, you're only saying that because you ship Delena!" She argued as they reached the lacross field just as coach blew the whistle. "Now get to practice, coach will give you a D for the rest of the semester if you don't."
Em rolled her eyes playfully at Cassie and crossed her arms on her chest and she walked onto the field with the rest of the team.
Cassie went over to the bleachers and watched carefully.
"Let's go! One-on-ones from up top!" Coach yelled. "Jackson, take a long stick today. Attaboy."
"Oh god," she muttered into the palms of her hands.
Jackson stood just a few feet away from the goal post with a death stare in his eyes. Then it finally started.
The boy in the front of the line picked the ball up with his net and tried to go to the goal, but was immediately blocked from Jackson. Another boy went up after the other boy went to the back of the line. He picked the ball up with his net and then got blocked from Jackson. Another one came running at Jackson before he tackled him to the ground.
"That's how you do it, Jackson. That's how you do it. Greenberg, take a lap. Let's go." He blew the whistle. "Faster Greenberg! Let's go McCall, what are you waiting for? Let's go."
Scott, who stood in front of Em, gulped nervously as Jackson got ready, practically killing him with just his obnoxious stare. He took a deep breath before running towards Jackson as fast as he could. When he got to him, Jackson pushed him away aggressively. Resulting in Scott landing on the floor and groaning in pain.
"Hey McCall. Hey McCall," he chuckled.
"You sure you still wanna be first line McCall?" Jackson taunted as he walked away.
"My-my grandmother can move faster than that," he laughed. "And she's dead! You think you can move faster than the lifeless corpse of my dead grandmother?"
"Yes coach," he replied.
"I can't hear you."
"Yes Coach!" He said louder.
"Then do it again," he said, leaning in his ear. "McCall's gonna do it again! McCall's gonna do it again! McCall's gonna do it again!"
Scott ran back to the front of the line. Cassie chewed on the sleeve of her hoodie nervously.
Come on Scott, don't expose yourself.
Coach blew the whistle for what felt like the 100th time. "Let's go!"
Scott sprinted towards Jackson, faster than he was before. Jackson was about to do the same thing he did last time before Scott bumped his shoulder harshly, sending him falling to the ground.
Scott crouched and out his hands on his knees trying to breath. Stiles ran over to Scott while the rest of the team, as well as Cassie, ran over to Jackson.
"I can't control it Stiles. It's happening," she heard faintly.
"What? Right here? Now?" He asked. "Alright, come on. Get up. Go!"
The two ran to the boys locker room with Cassie inconspicuously following behind to make sure Stiles didn't get hurt.
On the way there, she saw Derek standing there creepily with his hands in his pockets.
"What are you doing?" He called out to Cassie.
"Helping them. Stiles might get hurt, Derek."
He walked towards her. "Don't bother, it was his choice to get involved in the supernatural business. Now he has to deal with it."
"Whatever, I'll only jump in if he's about to get hurt," she replied before running off to Scott and Stiles.
By the time she got there, she could hear Scott's growling and crashing against the lockers. She was about to jump in before the growling was interrupted by a loud hissing noise. She peeked into the locker room and saw white smoke blowing towards Scott and Stiles holding a fire extinguisher.
She quickly turned and ran to the hallway nearby and hid behind it when she heard Stiles coming. He hid behind the doorway, holding the fire extinguisher to his chest while Scott tried to catch his breath.
"Stiles?" He looked back into the locker room carefully when he heard his name. "What happened?" He panted.
Stiles dropped the extinguisher to the ground and took off his lacrosse gloves. "You tried to kill me," he breathed out. "It's like I told you before. It's the anger, it's your pulse rising. It's a trigger."
Cassie walked back to the wall near the doorway and hid behind it as she eavesdropped on their conversation.
"But that's lacrosses it's a pretty violent game, if you hadn't noticed."
"Well, it's gonna be a lot more violent if you end up killing someone on the field. You can't play Saturday. You're gonna have to get out of the game."
"But I'm first line."
"Not anymore."
Scott hushed him as he listened to another faint heartbeat, hiding behind the wall.
"Who did you bring with you?"
Cassie took that as her cue and sprinted as fast as she could away from the locker room.
Scott stood up and walked to the doorway, only to see it empty.
"Scott?"
"I swear I heard another heartbeat."
"Maybe it was Derek."
"Maybe. You know what, forget it. It probably was," he said as they both walked back to the locker room.

Cassie was in the woods again practicing her magic. Even though it wasn't the best idea considering when she goes to practice with Derek, she becomes unconscious by the end of it. She decided she was gonna take long breaks in between each spell so her energy wouldn't be drained as much.
She picked up a dead leaf from the ground and held hit up with her thumb and index finger on the top.
"Is it a good idea to do a fire spell in the middle of the woods? Probably not. Am I gonna do it anyways? Definitely," she spoke to herself. She took a deep breath before concentrating on the leaf. "Incendium."
The bottom of the leaf started going up in a small flame, traveling up to where her fingers were holding it. Just before the flame reached her fingers, she let go of the leaf and lightly blew on it, before it had gotten to the ground, turning it to ashes and making it float away in the small breeze.
She smiled softly, feeling proud of herself in that very moment. She had finally gotten the spell right.
