EPISODE 5 CHAPTER 10

Cassie was at her job at the video store. Tessa, her coworker, had the night off so Cassie had to stay behind to work another shift. She didn't mind of course considering the fact that she was still saving up for her own car.

She was leaning on the counter listening to some of her favorite Taylor Swift songs when the bell dinged, signaling that there was a customer.

"Can somebody help me find The Notebook?" She recognized the voice immediately and groaned quietly. "Hello? Is anybody working here?"

"Right over here!" Cassie yelled out from behind the counter.

Jackson went to the counter where Cassie was and rolled his eyes when he saw her.

"You work in this crappy place?"

Yes, because unlike you, I like to earn my money instead of being a spoiled little bitch and crying to daddy about it.

"Yep, so you said something about The Notebook?"

"Uh, yeah. Lydia's making me watch it again."

"Okay, follow me." She led him to an aisle with a big sign that said "ROMANCE".

"Hey, what's that?" Jackson pointed out. She followed his eyes and realized what he was looking at.

She walked forward to investigate whose body it was. She saw that it was another one of her coworkers and gasped as she covered her mouth with her hand.

His throat was ripped out. Blood was pouring all over his shirt.

"Oh I think I'm gonna be sick," she said as Jackson came to see the body as well.

Jackson backed away in shock, knocking over the ladder which knocked over the lights, resulting in all the lights flickering on and off.

Nice going, Jackass.

There was a sudden low growling coming from behind them. The two turned around and saw the alpha with glowing red eyes.

Jackson grabbed Cassie's arm and took her to hide behind a horror movie aisle with him. Jackson peeked out the aisle to see the alpha more clearly but quickly whipped his head back when the growling started again.

Jackson slowed down his breathing and peeked his head out again. Then talk the shelves from behind the aisle they were hiding in started collapsing one by one like domino's.

Jackson jumped out of the aisle, trying to pull Cassie out with him. It was already too late and the both of the were stuck in between the shelves, waist deep. Cassie groaned in pain when she landed on her stomach. Her wound was still healing from the night of the bus.

Then the both of them could hear the alpha breathing right above them. She saw the alpha comes towards Jackson first and immediately closed her eyes shut.

I'm gonna die, I'm so gonna die.

The alpha retreated and jumped out the window. The both of them could hear Lydia's scream from outside the store.

The both of them laid there, until sirens were heard in the distance.

Both Lydia and Cassie were sitting on the edge of the ambulance while Jackson was standing and holding Lydia's hand.

Once the car pulled up, Stiles immediately saw Cassie. She was rubbing her arms trying to get some warmth while a police officer was questioning them.

He went to get out but was interrupted when Noah ordered him to stay in the car. He of course didn't listen. He got out the car and called out Cassie's name, lifting her attention from the ground to him.
