"How did you feel when you first found out that Matt was stalking you, Cassie?"

"Creeped out. When I first bumped into him, I always kind of had this off feeling about him. My gut told me not to trust him, but my heart told me to give him a chance. I guess it's true what people say about trusting your gut feeling."

Ms. Morrell nodded, listening to what Cassie had to say. "Does your gut often tell you things like that?"

Cassie thought about it before answering. "Yeah, sometimes. Not often though."

She nodded again. "Let's change the topic. How did you feel when you found out Matt had drowned to death? And don't be afraid to be honest."

Cassie took a deep breath. "I felt... relieved. Relieved that no one was stalking me anymore, relieved that the murders had stopped, relieved that no one else would get hurt."

"So, you don't feel any remorse about his death?"

"I do just a bit, actually. I get that he's been through a lot at the age of nine, I mean I have as well, but that doesn't exactly give him the right to kill the people who've hurt him in the past. But then again, he was just a kid who was blinded by the thoughts of getting his revenge. No one deserves to die so young."

"Do you often put others before yourself?" She stayed silent, not knowing what to say. Ms. Morrell nodded at her response. "You're a good person, Cassie."

"For what?"

"Being selfless. But just know, putting yourself first every once in a while, is a good thing."

She nodded, repeating her words in her mind.

"Um, I should go and help Em get ready for the lacrosse game," she said, gathering all her stuff.

When she was just about to walk out the door. Ms. Morrell started speaking again. "Remember what I said, Cassie."

She looked back and gave the woman a single nod and a half smile. She turned back and twisted the doorknob to open the door.

She saw Stiles sitting in the waiting chairs outside the room, waiting for his session with Ms. Morrell. His head shot up to the sound of the door opening. The two shared a quick eye contact before Cassie averted her eyes and walked past him. Stiles' eyes followed her figure as she disappeared in the distance. He sighed, shoving his head into the palms of his hands.

Coach walked into the boy's locker room. He looked around to see if anyone was shirtless before yelling at the door.

"Alright girls, you can come in!"

Cassie and Em walked in. Apparently, Coach had some big speech he does every year before a championship game. After them, Melissa walked in.

"Oh, hey. You're Cassie, Stiles' girlfriend, right?"

"We're actually not dating anymore, but it's nice to meet you officially, Mrs. McCall," she replied, shaking Melissa's hand.

"Oh please, call me Melissa."

"Okay. Are you here to see Scott?"

"Yes, you wouldn't happen to know where he is."

"Ummm," she hummed as she scanned the room for Scott. "He's right over there, sitting on the bench and Stiles is over there." She pointed in the direction.

Melissa followed her finger and spotted the two boys. "Ah, thank you."

"No problem."

Just as Melissa left, Coach started speaking into a megaphone.
