"Do you understand, Jennie?" Kwangjoo took his eyes off the road for a split second to ask Jennie who wasn't listening to instructions. "Jen?" He tapped on the girl's hand so her eyes would meet his. "Sorry. Were you saying something, Oppa?" The main rapper sat up and turned to the manager. "I was just telling you the plans for tomorrow. The other managers told your members so I am telling you now. Do you need me to tell you again?" Jennie didn't hide the fact she wasn't into the topic before and gave the nod.
"Is everything okay? It's only February. Still the beginning of 2021 and you look like you have so much going on in your mind." Kwangjoo used a father-like tone on the young girl. "Are you and the girls okay?" Jennie wasn't sure how to answer and replied with a soft, "okay." Kwangjoo decided not to ask anything and let the drive be in silence.
"It's okay, Oppa." Jennie stopped him. "Are you sure?" Kwangjoo confirmed after unbuckling his seatbelt. "The girls and I have been to the convenience store since trainees. The staff doesn't care about us." Jennie laughed. "If that's what you want then alright. I'll wait outside the van instead." Kwangjoo watched the main rapper cross the road and enter the store. He leaned on his van and kept his eyes on the store. "Who's calling?" Kwangjoo took his phone out of his coat pocket and checked who it was.
"I know it's close to midnight, but I need to ask you. I need you to be on my side here, Oppa." Y/N didn't greet him but babbled once the man accepted her call.
"What is going on? Are you drunk?" Kwangjoo shook his head but lend a listening ear to whatever nonsense Y/N had to ask.
"Do we have... Ready? Do we have one butt or two butts? My answer is two. Nayeon and Jinho Oppa are on the one-butt team."
"Is this important?" Kwangjoo closed his eyes out of disbelief and let out a sigh after that.
"Yes because I need you to be on my team."
"Well," Kwangjoo looked down on himself a few times and had a serious thinking face on.
"You're taking it seriously? I love it." Y/N laughed.
"Should I not be serious?"
"Oh no, please be as serious as you like."
"There are two butts. I mean," Kwangjoo tried his best to explain his reasons. "When you hold it, you're holding one in each hand. It moves individually, right?"
"Exactly! That's what I told them!" Y/N cheered.
"Satisfied?"
"Yes. Where are you?" Y/N took notice of the other line's background.
Kwangjoo was about to answer when Jennie appeared in front of him.
"Oh my gosh, Jen?!" His phone slipped out of his hand and hit the ground with the screen down.
"I am so sorry, Oppa." Jennie gasped before sending apologetic looks to her manager. "It's fine." Kwangjoo shook his head. "Were you talking to someone?" Jennie bend down to pick the phone up since it was her fault that happened. "Yeah, I was but the call probably got cut." That was what he thought. "I can buy a new phone for you or get the screen replaced." Jennie flipped the phone to get a look at the possible cracked screen.
The screen wasn't cracked, however.
"Y/N eonnie?" Kwangjoo knew what was happening the second he heard what Jennie whispered.
"Jennie?" The main rapper freaked out and ended the call. She almost let the phone slip out of her hands before Kwangjoo could grab a hold of it. "The screen is okay." Jennie laughed awkwardly before getting back in the van. "Oh, I am screwed," Kwanfjoo whispered and got in too.
