"Wait!" Jennie stopped as she was about to open the door. "If you still remember, Kuma is on my bed. I don't know if he still remembers you. Prepare yourself, I guess?" Y/N gave a nod and let Jennie open her bedroom door. Immediately, the puppy greeted the owner. Jennie held him in her arms before facing Y/N who was standing aside. "Do you still remember her, Kuma?" She asked the dog who seemed to be fascinated with Y/N.

"Hey, buddy. How are you?" Y/N laughed when Kuma wiggled himself out of Jennie's arms and came into her arms. Kuma licked Y/N's hands a few times before settling himself down. "I'll keep him on my lap since he doesn't want to move." Jennie nodded and patted her bed. Y/N kept some space between them. "What's happening, Jennie?" She asked.

Jennie looked down at her fidgeting hands. She was nervous. "My life has taken a whole turn. I don't want it to be like this. Help me understand, Jen." Y/N begged. "Alright," Jennie cleared her throat before meeting the eyes of the woman who still cared and loved deeply. From there, Jennie revealed what happened back in 2018 and now.

"I had no choice. I didn't want you to get hurt. Rosé didn't want you to get hurt either but she wasn't letting anyone tell her to do things she doesn't want to. At least, she could say no. I didn't have the courage to." Jennie shrugged. "But her refusing led to what is happening right now." Y/N sniffled, "Can't you do anything? Sue him or something?" Jennie shook her head and sighed, "We have the money but he has too. So many things have been said about him but he's still here."

"At the end of the day, none of us can win." Y/N looked down at the sleeping Kuma. "However, you still remember what you did, right?" Jennie sent a confused look to Y/N. "You kissed someone else? You kept it from me. The others kept it from me." Jennie nodded, slowly. "I can never take back what I did. I am so sorry." Jennie placed a comforting touch on the older's shoulder. "But, your-" She paused and her eyes flickered to the ex-girlfriend's lips. "My what?" Y/N looked up and Jennie quickly shifted her eyes away. "I can't say it." She moved away from Y/N. "I can't say it because I'll be a bad person if I say it. Your girlfriend is outside too."

Y/N understood and felt like she needed to get out of there. "I'll be with my girlfriend now." She said her goodbyes to Kuma before walking out with Jennie behind. "Are you okay?" Miyeon was relieved when her girlfriend emerged again. "Why are you looking at me like th-" Miyeon got cut off when the older's lips smashed against hers. The four girl group members' eyes widened and they looked away immediately. Y/N pulled away first and let Miyeon bury her red face in her chest. "Thank you for making me understand what has been going on. Despite what's happening, I hope you all have a nice life. Goodbye." Y/N waved and left with Miyeon, hand in hand. "Baby, what was that?" Miyeon asked when they were back in the van. Y/N looked over to her girlfriend confused and still red face.

"I love you so much." Y/N caressed the younger's face. She said it because she knew Miyeon loved hearing it. She said it to make herself feel better. She cannot go back there with the four of them. Miyeon is the one for Y/N... right?

It's been a week since all of that happened. Y/N just got home from work. The situation has died down a little which she was so thankful for. Y/N sat down on her sofa and let out a sigh. She was on the morning shift today so it was around the afternoon. She was famished. She was exhausted as well. So so exhausted. "Should I cook something real quick or order?" Y/N mumbled to herself.

She picked up her phone and was about to click on the delivery app when a call came in. Y/N frowned at the caller ID for a second. She sat up and cleared her throat before answering.

"Hello?" Y/N greeted.

"Hello, is this the patient Im Jiae's daughter?"

"Yeah, I'm her daughter."

"We're sorry to tell you but..." The second Y/N heard everything, she told the caller that she was on her way before dashing out of her house.

Y/N knew she didn't park the van properly but she did not care at the moment. She ran to the room where her mother has always been in.

"Oh my gosh, eomma." Y/N pushed the nurse and attended to her mother was has a bandage on her forehead. "What happen?" Jiae sat up with the help of Y/N before saying how she got into that state. "Is she the nurse who was with you?" Y/N asked with her arms folded and glancing at the nurse who was waiting at the side. "Yes, she is but sweetheart-" Jiae couldn't finish her sentence when Y/N walked up to the nurse who could already tell she would be screamed at since Y/N shoved her aside.

"Do you know how to do your job?! What's wrong with you?! If you can't do it right, I suggest you leave my mother and get someone better than you. I'm not paying for this shit!" With each word, Y/N took a step forward and jabbed her pointed finger at the poor nurse. The door bursts open and came in a doctor and a nurse. "Miss, please do not yell at my nurse." The doctor held up his hand so Y/N would remain where she was. The other nurse grabbed the poor nurse who has now let tears out.

"Y/N, hey, it was my fault. I thought I could go to the toilet by myself and told the nurse that I didn't need any help. The floor was wet, maybe another patient did that. I didn't notice it so that's why I slipped and hit my head on the floor." Jiae stopped her daughter from lashing out even more. "I did all the checks and your mother will be okay. I apologised on behalf of my nurse." The doctor gave a small bow to Y/N.

"Y/N, come here." Y/N's facial expressions softened at her mother's voice before turning around and sitting down beside her mother. The doctors and nurses left after seeing the signal from Jiae. "What's wrong, sweetheart?" The mother asked the daughter. "I'm really tired," Y/N answered and laid her head on her mother's shoulder. "Did something happen at work?" Jiae asked since Y/N ran in clad in her work uniform. "Work was okay. Something did happen on the internet though." Y/N mumbled. "What are you talking about?" Jiae whispered as her fingers ran through her daughter's hair. Y/N wasn't surprised that her mother had no idea what she was talking about. After taking her phone out and pulling up some articles, Y/N passed her phone to her mother.

"Oh, sweetheart." Jiae cried out and let the phone slip out of her hand to hug her crying daughter. "You don't believe them, right?"  Y/N sobbed. "Of course not." Jiae sobbed as well. "Has your appa talked to you?" Y/N shook her head. "Knowing his work, he doesn't have time to scroll on the internet." Jiae looked down at her daughter before giving her a kiss on the top of her head. "You have me." Y/N nodded and for the first time today, a genuine smile formed on her lips.

Half an hour passed by. "Drive back safely," Jiae told Y/N who gave a nod. They said their goodbyes. Y/N got into her van and rested her head on the steering wheel. She whined when the hunger made itself known again. After thinking, Y/N decided to drive to her girlfriend's dorm since she knew they were there.

Driving.

Driving.

Driving.

She's here.

Y/N hopped out of the van before locking it. She stretched a little before heading inside. Her feet and hands seemed to know where to go although it was only her second time here. But, Y/N was not realizing it.

Y/N pressed the doorbell and waited. She needed food soon because she felt like she could pass out at any moment. The door opened after a few seconds. Y/N was expecting her girlfriend or one of the members to be standing there but it was none of them.

"What?" Y/N whispered.

"Y/N, what are you doing here?"

Y/N blinked her eyes rapidly and that seemed to bring her back to reality. She didn't drive to her girlfriend's dorm. She was not standing in front of her girlfriend's dorm.

"Y/N?" Her eyes met with Jisoo and the other three who came rushing when they heard Jisoo.

"How did I... get here?" Was Y/N's final words before she passed out.
