"Go ahead." While the younger stared at her mother's contact name, Y/N encouraged Jennie. Jennie pressed the call button, nodding. She got up to get some privacy, then walked away. When Jennie started speaking, Y/N gave a thumbs up, indicating that her mother had answered the phone.

Nayeon emerged when the sliding door slid open. "Did she start calling?" Nayeon sat down next to Y/N and asked. A sorrowful smile graced the younger cousin's nod. It was chilly outside, so the cousins cuddled in close. "I forgot how beautiful the sky is over here." Nayeon observed the starry sky above them and made a comment.

"Why did you come here?" She asked. Y/N shrugged, "I needed a safe place for Jennie. The girls' dorm came into my mind. Not there. The company? Screw that place." The cousins scoffed, knowing full well that nobody should feel safe there. "My place was also not an option as the paparazzi have swarmed the outside of the building before." Y/N remembered her life at the time those fake articles were published. "I also considered going to the cafe, but I do not want to endanger the people there."

"After that," Y/N sighed. "I thought of this place, and here we are." Y/N continued by saying that her father was initially concerned because his daughter might endanger everyone residing in this area, but nothing has happened as of yet. "Y/N, your father only wanted you to be safe." Nayeon prompted a reminder. Jennie came back. She threw her phone on the couch and jumped into her girlfriend's lap.

"My mother is furious." She mumbled in English. She then turned to face Y/N and grinned contentedly. "But she is glad I am safe with you." The older smiled, "Happy to hear that." Nayeon reached for the idol's phone and extended her hand. "Now, call your members, they are still blowing up those two phones and mine." Nayeon pointed at the two men who were inside watching television. "Even talking to my girlfriend is impossible!" She voiced her complaint in a cutesy way, making the other women look disgusted.

Despite her pout, Jennie went ahead and did it. Since she was the last to call, she made the decision to Facetime the main vocalist.

"There you are! What the hell happened?!" Rosè greeted her right away.

"And hello to you." Jennie returned the greeting.

"Don't use that tone on us. Where have you gone?!" Next up was Lisa.

"Can you two calm down?" The phone was taken by Jisoo from its Australian owner. Through the phone screen, her eyes locked with Jennie's. Jisoo will not be screaming, as Jennie had assumed, but she was mistaken.

"WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU?! DON'T YOU KNOW HOW WORRIED WE HAVE BEEN, KIM JENNIE?!"

"I am out of here." Nayeon slipped out.

Jennie bit her lips out of embarrassment. Y/N sent a pitying look to her. It seemed like the callers had no idea their ex-girlfriend was there. "I'm sorry for what I did." Jennie spoke. "I am safe. I promise." Jisoo was not convinced yet. "Then, where the hell are you?" Jennie looked down in shame. "I know you ran off with Y/N." Jisoo added.

Y/N took this chance to reveal herself. "She's safe with me."

When Jisoo saw her ex-girlfriend, her eyes grew wide. Upon hearing Y/N's voice, the younger girls also approached, lingering over the phone. "Where are you two? Please. Can you let us know so we can stop worrying?" Jisoo pleaded once more. Jennie let Y/N talk to them. "We're safe. Don't worry."

Sighs from the other line could be heard. "I'm sorry." At last, Jennie said she was sorry. "I had no intention of hurting anyone." Lisa was seen shrugging before stating that Sohee deserved it and Jisoo gave her a dejected expression. "Yes, she was insulting Y/N. We could all have acted in the same way as Jennie." Jisoo gave an explanation.
