"Appa, stop please." Y/N begged again, "I know, sweetheart. I still feel bad I didn't read what was going on." Junha expressed in a guilty tone. "You were busy as usual," Y/N answered, naturally. Junha looked away, the feeling of guilt building up inside him. Yoojin, Y/N's father's girlfriend, came back with the drinks she had ordered for everyone. "What are your plans next?" Yoojin asked after she sat down beside Y/N. "I was thinking of taking a break." Y/N sipped her coffee. "I want to get out of Korea." The older two eyes' widened and they almost spat out their drinks. "Do you want to leave here for good?" Junha asked after he found his voice again. "No, appa. I feel like I need to disappear from here for a while. Although it's almost been a month since those articles, I still get recognised in public. People are still coming to my workplace every once in while to ask me questions. Not to buy cakes or coffee."
Yoojin patted Junha's hand as she was silently telling him to support what his daughter wanted. "When are you leaving?" He asked. "I'm not sure yet. I told my boss and thankfully, he understands and supported me. I told eomma too. She's okay with it. I have not told Nayeon and my friends. I also have not told Miy-" Y/N stopped herself from saying her last ex-girlfriend's name. "Are you not telling Miyeon?" Junha asked. "She has not talked to me ever since I broke up with her. I think it's no use." Y/N mumbled. It's no use telling all of her ex-girlfriends.
"Alright. Can I book your tickets and everything for you?" Junha asked. "You have not done it, right?" Y/N shook her head, "Sure, appa." The father took out his phone and select the best airline, the best seat on the plane and a good hotel for his daughter. "Are you sure you want me to book a one-way flight?" Junha asked. "Yes, I'll book the return flight when I am ready." Y/N nodded. "Okay, it is done. Why Thailand though?" The father asked. "I've been there before for work. I thought it was beautiful. Now, I get to enjoy it with nothing in my mind." The daughter answered. "You deserved to have fun, Y/N." Yoojin gave her a side hug. "Thank you." Y/N laid her head on her shoulder. "You're leaving on Monday." Junha showed his phone to Y/N. He sent the details to Y/N who thanked him. "I'll call Nayeon and my friends for dinner tonight and I'll tell them."
Night time.
"What's happening?" Nayeon asked Y/N who had gathered everyone into her house. Y/N made sure everyone was paying attention. She even smiled when Dahyun showed that she was on a Facetime call with Mina and Chaeyoung so they know what was happening. Y/N cleared her throat and spilt everything. "We're sorry, Y/N." Kwangjoo apologised. "None of you did anything wrong." Y/N wiped her tears. "Hey, let's not cry." Jihyo moved to sit beside her best friend and wiped her tears. "You'll be back, right?" Y/N nodded. "Then, we'll wait." Y/N thanked everyone and gave hugs to comfort them. She eyed Nayeon who was quiet and only gave a short hug. They made eye contact and Y/N signalled Nayeon to meet her in the kitchen.
"Are you mad at me for doing this?" Y/N asked. "No, I am not. I promised you." Nayeon shook her head. "Do what you need to do for yourself. I'll support you either way." She sobbed. "Just promise me that you won't disappear from me again this time." It hit Y/N why Nayeon didn't react straight away after she broke the news earlier. "I'm sorry. I didn't realise I hurt you deeply when I cut ties with you." Y/N wiped her cousin's tears and pulled her into a hug. "You don't need to apologise for that. You have your reasons for doing that." Nayeon's voice was muffled against Y/N's shoulder. "I won't disappear this time. I'll text you. I'll send you pictures. Maybe buy some souvenirs for yourself. I'll be back. I promised." Nayeon nodded and pulled herself away. "I do want you to do something." Nayeon nodded and waited for what Y/N wanted. "If any of the girls asked you about me, you can tell them where I am."
"All five of them?" Nayeon questioned. "I mean, you still work with the four of them and Miyeon has been silent but if out of the blue, she texted you about me, you can tell her." Y/N permitted Nayeon who nodded. They returned to the living room and enjoyed the night.
